I require a mature woman to assist me with home duties and the care of my 2 young boys aged 10 months and 3 years. I also have a 12-year-old daughter who is fairly independent and will be at school during most visits.
Tasks may include:
Supervising children during:
Short walks (eg: around the block) and park visits.
Entertainment (supervised puzzles, games and backyard activities).
Helping to tidy away toys.
Meal times. (Feeding baby in high chair... he is a good eater!)
Collection of child from local kinder (via train if preferred).
Light Domestic Duties:
Tidying kitchen
Folding/hanging laundry
Light ironing (maximum 5 items per session)
Dusting (no climbing or bending)
Work may be tailored to your abilities eg. Cooking/sewing/gardening.
I will require at least 2 hours per week. Minimum hourly rate will be $15 per hour.
I will be present for the duration of your stay. Morning or afternoon tea will be provided.
Further Requirements:
I prefer to hire a woman who has had children of her own.
Able to offer consistent guidance for children.
No physical punishment strategies.
My assistant will need to be fit and able. There will be no heavy lifting however the ability to lift a baby into a high chair is required.
The ability to hurry after a wandering infant is also required.
Respectful of parent's choices (eg: no red meat in diets).
Non smoking.
I am happy to negotiate hours. Workload will be moderate, not exhaustive. Tasks described above are only examples, not to be undertaken every visit.
Having worked in an accredited childcare environment I am aware of optimal work safety practices. I will encourage my children to be highly respectful of your role and hope that a warm relationship can be fostered.
