Hi girls, just quickly, about to go to bed: My visit to the specialist went quite well Best news is that there is a type of anti-thyroid medication that I can take and still BF! Yay! so no enforced weaning! Phew! So I have started my treatment. He said he thinks it will take up to 8 months to be "cured" if the tablets are going to work.... if they don't then it'll have to be a more aggressive treatment (radiation/removal) let's hope it doesn't come to that. So far no side effects... all anti-thyroid tablets are pretty harsh though... nausea is a possibility. Anyhow, so far so good. Escaped the heat today in at Melbourne Central with Verity. Personals tomorrow.... nighty nite!

ETA: Happy birthday for yesterday Mel! We need to have a meet up soon!

Mel - Happy Belated Birthday - it sounds like you had a wonderful day.

Bath - that is the most excellent news - here's hoping these meds cause minimal side affects but still "solve" the problem so other treatment is not required.

Nic - glad you found your camera

BBL ladies - have some research into low amniotic fluid levels to do - this pregnancy is doing my head in.

Thanks for the birthday wishes girls.

Bath - fantastic news about the new treatment and not having to wean. You couldn't have hoped for better news. Glad you got out of the heat yesterday, it was horrible. Yes, I agree a catch up is in order.

Nic - I just checked out your photos and WOW! You look amazing. You look like you have dropped heaps of weight. And what a handsome couple you make. I love the dress too. Also checked out the boys pics and they are just so cute. Tyron is certainly growing up, love the chubby cheeks. Would love to catch up when you are down.

Jaspen - do you have low levels with your placenta?

Feels weird being home today. Not much to do as I did everything yesterday. Marley is sleeping and I've had lunch. Might as well kill some time on BB

Mel - yeh it seems at my scan last week I had an AFI (amniotic fluid index) of 6.28 which is at the lower limit before it is classed as a condition (5 and under is a condition). it seems at this stage there isn't much they can do so will discuss with OB tomorrow (whos read the report and hasn't rung so there is obviously no immediate problem or nothing immediate that can be don) and see what I have to do. Bubs is growing to dates exactly but given my last two have always been big for their stage I figure something could be going on. The rest of the u/s report indicates everything else is ok at this stage.

Jaspen - just read your other post about it. Hopefully it will be nothing to worry about and OB can put your mind at ease tomorrow. Let us know how it goes.

    Hi ladies

Mel - happy birthday for yesterday - cake with sparklers sounds lovely! Hope Marley is better now

Nic - will have a quick nip to FB to check out your wedding pickies - and i read your post ages ago about Nixon doing a runner from pg - so very scary! felt sick reading it for you.

Rory - sorry your DH didn't get into the firies, bugger he can't get any feedback why

Jaspen - congrats on boy #3 - im sure i will be joining you in the 3 boys club - i will find out April 10th. Hope your fluid levels stay within the ok limits

bath - great news about the new meds letting you still bf

Maya - checked out your holiday pickies on fb a few weeks ago - they are so great - you've seen more of London than i have and i only lived 2 1/2 hours away for 30 years!!! Loved your Ireland photos too, ive only done drunken weekends in dublin so haven't seen the beautiful countryside

Ali - hope Liam's sleeping sorts out soon

    Hi to anyone ive missed

sorry ive not been around, i have my parents over from the UK so no time for the computer. Its great having help with the kids but Oscar is spoilt brat from hell as he is being given in too all the time by two certain older temporary members of the house!!!
We are going out for a meal (curry - yummy) in freemantle tomorrow (just me and DH) so im getting my haircut and blowdried tomorrow so i can hopefully look somewhere near human! We then go awa down to Margaret River for the weekend - without kids!!!! Im so looking forward to it but scared too as ive never been away from them for a night - apart from Osc when i was having Will! - not sure how Will will cope but he gets on with them well so hopefully ok.

Little bubby has started moving and bump is definately growing now, clothes getting tighter and have started wearing a few maternity trousers but still look like ive just eaten too many pies rather than have a bubby in there!

Glad to hear everything sounds good with you all, will hopefully manage abit more time in here soon (rents go away for 3 days next week so might be back then).

    Hugs to my junie-mum friends

    Julie x
