Celsie - yay for Caeleb signing. How clever! When did you start teaching him that? I would love to teach Diana to sign. Do you know where I could get some info on how to do it? (Unfortunately my local library seems to have no books on it. Is there a website or something that you know of?) How is the potty training going? Diana is doing well. She still wees in the nappy, but most poos happen on the potty now.

Sarah - re you SIL - I would recommend babywearing. Does she have a sling? She can put bub in it, bub will settle and she can go about doing what she needs to do. Bub will learn to self settle in his own time. Diana would only settle in my arms and/or at the breast for about the first month and then she started sleeping on her own. IMO there is no point in trying to get babies to sleep on their own at such a young age. They are used to being with mum and have constantly been with her for 9 months. It takes a while for them to get used to being out in the world.

PP - Diana is usually very well behaved, but she does sometimes throw a tantrum, e.g. when you take away something that she wants to play with.
