Prama are you worried about him not being able to breathe when he rolls over? Is he in a cot? You could either wrap him back up again and hope that he doesn't fully wake up or just leave him and make sure his face isn't covered with the wrap. I have woken up to summer with all her blankets right over her head, she only rolls over in her cot if she isn't wrapped properly or is over tired and wriggles out of her wrap. I would have the sh*ts too stupid crackpot giving poopy curry hope it wasn't a hot one it would burn his insides don't you hate having to keep the peace in family?? I did that for years and then i just gave up and now don't speak to many (I have 6 siblings) either way is hard really. But anyway just bit*h slap her next time hehe or just imagine it.

Danni I am Petrina Caldecoat on facebook

    Hope you are all well

Prama - I'm so sorry about your cousin in law - or whatever you want to call her. I don't know how you bit your toungue.
Try not to worry too much about other peoples comments. They are not you & they do NOT know what is best for your child. Only you can decide what is right & wrong. Sure babies need routine, but they also need to be out & around. Otherwise could you imagine how overwhelming it would be their first time? They would freak out!
I don't think you need to worry to much about him being on his belly if he's strong enough to get there on his own. If he's strong enough to get over, he should be strong enough to move his head if he needs to.
You could always roll him back over if you are worried.

Trina - SHAME!! Sorry. I'm always picking on my SIL coz she watches it too. I watch Neighbours & Home & Away, but if I miss a few months I am behind, I think I could miss a year of B&B, but I'd still be able to keep up! Lol!!

Jesse's been in a fowl mood today. He was awake for a bit at 6, so I put him in our bed. He went back to sleep & woke at around 9am. I tried to put him back down at around 10 - he is usually only awake for about an hour before he goes down for his morning sleep.
Anyway, he finally fell asleep at about 12. I walked, rocked, let him cry, put him in the pram & pushed it. He eventually slept for about 10 minutes.
I was so frusterated. He wouldn't go back to sleep & was grumpy, so I gave him a bath. I tried to get him to sleep again after, but gave up.
Bri & I went for a look at the op shops at about 2pm. He fell asleep in the pram, finally. Anyway, slept for about half an hour, til I put him in the car. He stayed awake the rest of the time we were out, but was buggered. I got home & went & put him on our bed with his dummy & he's been asleep in there for nearly an hour now.

Prama - what a cow, you poor thing, i could almost hear the anger in your voice. I would have said something, you have taken so much crap from them all, you are very tolerant.
Maybe you should remind them that you will be gone soon and then they will have nothing to complain or moan about...
As for the rolling, i dont wrap MJ any more as my biggest concern is that she would roll and not be able to move, so she has her hands free, she does wake a bit more, but i dont worry so much.

MJ was grizzzly one night, just a bit unsettled an not yet crying, so i though, i'll just leave her, she might settle... anyway, she still keptgoing so i though i had better get up, she had managed to pull one of the blankets loose and it was over her head. I SH*T myself and felt terrible for not going in there earlier, but i cant get up with every noise she makes... the blankets are really secure now

Trina - my confession for the day is i watch Deal or no Deal every day, MJ has a feed at that time and i have a cuppa, its the only time i turn the TV on during the day, except weekends - otherwise iwould watch all day :P
Speaking of which i had better finish up, ts about to start - so sad i know!!!

Hahaha SJ!!! Shame about the swimming, it is all pretty basic at most places when they are bubs, pretty much stuff you do in the bath anyway, you'd save heaps of money just taking her for a swim but then again you have to pay for that too, pretty slack they didn't call and tell you you were the only one its more fun with other bubs.

Skye Oh the shame I know i have even got my Mum watching it, she isn't the soapy type if i call her during it she sais "you'd better go your show's on" too funny... I like how you can miss a couple of months and still know exactly what's happening.... If dh is home when it's on and i try and explain what's happening we end up just laughing so hard cos its so ridiculous.

    hi girls

thansk for your word of support. im still angry but my mum thinks im taking it too seriously.
i wish i could be more assertive, im a pushover really. i never can say things on the spot.
my relos like to think they know better. if i disagree, then im rude, i know too much, beign too fussy. in a way im glad im going back in 2 weeks.

i wrap poopy, sometimes he manages to get his arms out. im going to leave them out now. at least if he rolls and im asleep, he can lift his head.
sj- i know. i usually get up and have a look when he grizzles but yest several times i jsut left it cos i was so tired. i felt so guilty and horrid when i saw him on his tummy.

LOL - sometimes i watch Judge Judy!!! then i ask myself, why the hell am i watching this crap.
Poopy is now the Bald and Beautiful :P

    Morning girls,

Hope you are all well. Doni didn't get in the door until 11:30pm last night, his flight kept getting delayed from Brisbane because of the storm in Sydney. I am off to DJ's first 1 year old birthday party YAY so that will be fun I am still worried about his leg twitching. I am thinking of taking him to the doctors..... It seems like it should be fixed up by now, he is 5 months old now.... I read up and they say normally that will clear up within first few months..... Teething also driving me crazy I wish his tooth would hurry up... He is back to sleeping 5-6 hours each night now.... arghhhh I feel like he is a newborn again.....He still has good sleeps during the day which is good, but very sooky and wants me to hold him. He was very unsettled last night, we ended up sleeping him in our bed.

Prama - I would have been so upset as well. crikies!! What was she thinking..... the older generation just have no idea..... think it was ok to do that to us when we were younger, but look how many of us have allergies or intolerances to foods as we become adults..... because of them giving us stuff too early.

SJ - I was bummed to read about your experience with swimming lessons, I would have thought it would be more packed in the class as well. I looked into classes locally, undecided on where to go.... I am going to ask those questions in regards to class size though because that would be better having a fuller class.

Skye - sounds like you are going through what I am going through with DJ... Is he teething as well?

Trina - oh I love B&B haha I missed the episode with what went down with Katie and Storm doh!!!

Well girls, I better get myself organised to head out this mornign.

Hope you have a wonderful weekend.

    Shell xx

    The bald & the beautiful!!
Prama, I'd watch him any day!!!

I think I'm going to take Jesse to the hospital today. He's had a dose of panadol & is ok for now, but was grizzly all day yesterday - crying alot, & had a fever of 38.1 all night. He only wore a t-shirt suit to bed with just one blanket around him & was still hot & sweating. He usually has that blanket plus a sheet & two other blankets. & a jump suit.
His temp is down at 36.0 now - panadol - & he's not as upset, but he's still sweating.
He was waking up every hour or 2 last night screaming like he is in pain.
He has no lumps or anything on his gums & no red cheeks, nothing to make me think its teething. But he hasn't really been feeding & has been startling real easy.
I'll give him another bath soon & take him up to the hospital.
It's been going on for 3 days now & getting worse.

    hi

i forgot to say thanks for all the advise re- the training. i think i'll go for it and do as you suggested, ask the hotel if they have a parents room etc where i can pump.

skye - poor baby, i hope his fever goes away. lots of hugs and kisses and cuddles from me, and get well hug from poopy.

shell - poopy got the twitch a couple of times in the last week. it's less than before but he gets it once in a while.
poopy's sleeping pattern is also changing, he doesnt want to go to bed, managed to get him to bed at almost midnight.(he wakes up as soon as i put him down and then talks and carries on) and then starts grizzling early morning. he started at 3am ish and i gave a feed at 5. so i only slept 12-3, then abt 6.30-8. im going to start feeding him at night too, hopefully that will help him settle and teh change is just not a development thing.tho they do change sleeping habits 5-6mths. arrrgghhh.

swim class- i think i'll go in one day and jsut see what happens at the swim classes. and then see if it's worthwhile. shell - which pool were you thinking of?

another 2 weeks go come home! yaay. i'll miss my mum and dad and bro, but im so looking fwd to seeing steve and being a family again and getting into routine.
