Jodi - Yay for Emily kicking her arms and legs! Joshua is a big wriggler too, he seems to wriggle sideways though and ends up agains the bars of the cot peeking through. His cot is next to my side of the bed so sometimes I wake up to him staring at me through the gaps!

One good thing about Joshua still being little is that we are getting very good use out of all his clothes! Lengthwise he has outgrown 0000 so is now in 000 for the wondersuits but everything else like separate pants and tops we are getting away with 0000 still.

Joshua is getting weighed again today to see how he's gone with the formula top ups. Hopefully he is packing it on! To me his cheeks are looking a little chubbier but everytime I think he has put on weight, it turns out he hasn't put on much at all, so I'm just going to wait and see first!

ETA: Josh put on 330grams in the last 3 days!!! He's finally had a growth spurt He has a bit of catching up to do, but now it seems we are back on track. He just needs the extra calories. woohoo I am so happy now

Well, I thought I had posted today but looks like it didn't appear.

Joshua had his 3 month check today and he's going really well. Has put on another 208grams since Thursday so all up that's 538grams in just one week! :woot: I guess he does have a bit of catching up to do. He's now 4.08kg. Hopefully he keeps this up for another few weeks

Booked into the post natal aqua aerobics next week. DS gets to go in the pool for 15 minutes, then the mums get to do a work out. Should be good fun, although I am a little nervous about how it is all going to work.

Hope you ladies and bubs are going well?!

laranna - again, a big woohoo to Joshua on his weight gain!!! That's fantastic. Aqua Aerobics sounds great. Let us know how you go.

Emily had a reaction to the sunscreen we used on her face on the weekend, and her face looks like a mess. It's awful. So she's on strong ointment & pain killers at the moment. She's doing really well with it.

Some of you will remember Chrissy from our belly buddies. Well unfortunately her DH passed away last night. Please keep her and their children in your thoughts.

Hey Jess, I know Chrissy has been pretty busy with Liam as he's a clingy baby. It's such sad news isn't it.
Emily's face looks awful. I can't bear to look at it even.

I forgot to mention that I had Emily weighed yesterday, and she's 6.8kg already! Such a little porker.

Hi ladies. Sorry been MIA. Have been diagnosed with PND and having a pretty tough time. Was prescribed happy pills but they had an awful effect on Elena so can't take them. Not sure where we go next.

    Very sad news about Chrissy.

Jodi - wow. Your little princess is a porker! She's obviously getting the good stuff though. Good on you!

Laranna - are you doing your aqua aerobics at St John's? It sounds great. I meant to do it with Izzy but never got there. Should probably do it now with Elena. Great news with J's weight gain. Brilliant. Are you coming to the meet up next Friday? Would be lovely to meet you.

Can't remember who started the conversation about sizes but Elena is in 00s for all in ones with feet - they're huge on her width ways but she needs them for the length. She sure doesn't get long legs from me! Otherwise, she's in 000s for everything else. Haven't had her weighed recently but just by looking at her she seems to be really stacking it on but without getting chubby - just beautiful, round little baby bits. She's so alert and is really interacting now with lots of smiles and chuckles during play. She also smiles whenever she sees me across the room which just melts my heart. Still feeding way too much at night (for my sake) but I'm feeding her lying down in bed now and frequently doze off and wake up a couple of hours later when she's after another feed.

Anyway, its a beautiful day here today so am off to the park soon. Hope everyone has a good day.

    That's not good about Chrissy

Jodi - poor Emily...I hope it clears up really quickly. I should use sunscreen on DS as he has my fair skin, are there special ones for babies that you can get?

Lulu - sorry to hear about the PND, just remember we are all a keyboard away if/when ever you need a chat.

Doing the aqua aerobics at Mercy, did the antenatal ones and they were fantastic. I'll have to check out the meetup thread, last time I looked I didn't think I would be able to make the day, but if it is next Friday that should be ok.

Ditto on the smiles, every morning when I go to get Joshua out of his cot he is wide awake talking at his mobile, then as soon as he sees me standing there, the hugest grin appears on his face and he has the cutest dimples

lulu - I am so sorry to hear that you've been diagnosed with PND. Is there any other medication that your dr thinks may work? Are you seeing a counsellor? If at any time you need a chat, I'm always here.

Emily is happiest first thing in the morning as well. She'll wake around 6/6.30am, and after a nappy change & feed I sit her in the bouncer and her, DH & I watch the news. But she's so happy that she sometimes wakes Nina up with her loud talking & giggling! She's also discovered moving objects lately, and also discovered that she can hold things, and put them to her mouth. The other day she was waving her arms around, then she started watching her arm move around, and was trying to follow it. Very cute.
Ended up taking her to the hospital today about her skin. They've told me to stop using the cream my gp prescribed, and the best thing is to do nothing. Only bathe it with plain water. I've already noticed a difference. Her face has cleared up a lot since this morning.

laranna - I forgot to say in my post yesterday, the dr has suggested using a natural based zinc rather than sunscreen.

Happy news about Emily, I have been able to get the excess cream off her face!! The cream we were given had the chanc of staining her skin (it was a silver cream too, eeek!) but thankfully it came off tonight. So I can now see how much skin is peeling. She looks a lot better tonight thank goodness. She must have been in pain or discomfort last night as she woke every 4 hours. I was a wreck this morning. She's been sleeping through since 5 weeks, so for her to wake at night was a bit of a shock.

Jodi- i couldnt believe it when i read th epost about it... I'd be a complete mess if it were me... I'm struggling with 2.. My DS is getting worse instead of better... thank god Tiahna is improving. I could not imagine what things would be like without DP...

Tiahna gets bad skin regularly. Its aweful... its like a bad bright red blotchy rash on her cheeks... its aweful... i have cream but dont like to use it. i just moisturise few times a day as it seems to make her skin dry (the rash that is) its like an Eczema or something. IThe GP told me its from the hormones frommy milk... But as much as i hate the look of her skin i just dont see it as a big enough reason to stop the breast feeding.

As for Emily being a porker... at least you know she's getting all the good stuff she needs. (obviously no supply issues with you... lol)

Also i know what its like to have bubs suddenly start to wake again during the night... Tiahna has done thsi last 2 days... 2-3 times both nights.... she's been sleeping through for so long now.... think i was getting to comfortable with the slees.. hopefully its just her showing me she's still in controll...lol

Jess - when I was b/f Nina she had that same blotchy skin. I too was told it was from b/f. It cleared up by about 4 months.
I think Emily must have been having a growth spurt last week when she was waking at night. One night she even woke every 4 hours! I was a wreck the next day. She's back to sleeping through again, thank goodness. I think around the 12 week mark is a growth spurt. I'm not looking forward to the next one. That's when Nina really turned into a horrid baby. It's a major growth spurt that one.

We had Nina's birthday party yesterday, and I'm sooooo tired today. I'm still in my pj's (so is Nina). Emily has gone back to bed. It's Nina's birthday on Wednesday, I can't believe she's 2 already!
I have to go into town and finish buying some b'day presents and get them sent off this week. I'd love to stay home in bed though. It's overcast, windy and a little cold too.

klee - how are you going?

Chrissy's dh Craig will be buried on Wednesday. So so sad.

Hello again Lulu, Kat and Jodi

Lulu, sorry to hear you have PND and that you can't take the happy pills they gave you. I have been put onto Lexapro for my PND which is a fairly new drug and it seems to have less side effects than the others, so if that's not what you where given, maybe you could give that go.
Jodi poor emily having an allergic reaction to sunscreen, you try and do the right thing... anyway, hope it heals up nicely for her. What happened with Chrissy's DH? Her and her family are in my thoughts, so very sad.
Kat hope you and your 'tribe' are going well, they are obviously keeping you nice and busy

Oliver is going well, he is giggling (occasionally) rolls from tummy to back, and loves sucking on his fists, would have them both in his mouth at the same time if they'd fit LOL, he has also been off Zantac for 5 days and seems to be coping well without it. He usually goes to be around 6.30pm and gets a 'sneaky feed' at 10.30pm and he generally doesn't wake until around 6am so I can't really complain about his nighttime sleeping habits.
