Hi All,

Nikki - Yeah it is funny how things change so quickly, this time last year we were just beginning to feel movement (well I was anyway, didn't feel my first kick til about 21weeks), and now they are out and about and constantly on the move.

Girl - Maybe you could have a 'nice' word to the childcare centre...something like that you appreciate there effects in trying to give Yasmeenia milk by offering a different bottle, but you would prefer they only use the provided bottles in future. I definitely would say something though as this girl may not be aware it is not the right thing to do.

Abb - Good idea on the toy swapping. I don't see the same babies very often to be able to do this regularly though, but I have spread Cam's toys all over the house - so depending on which room we are in there is different toys to play with. Also got some away which I alternate. How did the meet up go? I would love to meet some of the BB girls at some point...but i would be nervous too. Suddenly internet people become real faces. I've built up images of alot of people from this site - including all you guys and it would be interesting of how close I am with my imagination (I'm usually way off though). Love your new ticker by the way.

NaNa - IKWYM about them loving the boxes more then the actual contents. We've got a couple of boxes in the lounge room which is keeping Cameron amused for ages. It may look a little silly, but hey, if it occupies him for that long and it ain't hurting...why not. How'd Aadi sleep today? Hope it was better then yesterday. Isn't it frustrating taking all that time to get them to sleep then only getting 20mins.

Sassy - It's not fair that our DH's can fall asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow - I toss and turn for at least 1hr...GRRR. You'd think after all the chasing around we do now bub's are on the move we would be so worn out we would collapse into bed, but no! Doesn't it make it alot easier that Jayda can hold her own bottle. Cameron occassionally has bottles when out, he is a bit hit or miss whether he'll hold it though...must depend on his mood, hahaha.

Jess - Can't help on the AF question...still waiting here. I can't understand why I haven't gotten them yet though, being that we don't exclusively BF all the time. Oh well, my can get pretty painful too sometimes, but I don't think as bad as yours by the sound of it. Hope this is a one off for you and the rest improve. Very sweet DS caring for you like that. I'm so glad there has been a positive made of a negative for you with the switching from BF to FF, makes it a little more 'acceptable' hey.

Well still not much happening here. Cam's sleeping is ok, though this morning he woke at 5.15am, but guess I can't complain when he slept til 7am yesterday. He's been having good day sleeps too. The last 2 days he's slept for at least 2.5hrs in the arvo. Getting him to bed is also become easier again. I didn't even get to kiss him good night last night. DH took him in, and I thought I had a moment to get down to say goodnight, as DH thought he didn't have the same nack as I do to now just lay him down and walk out. But apparently he does, as no sooner had I stood up, DH was closing his door and didn't hear another peep from Cameron til this morning.

Oh, gotta go Cam's finally woken.

jess: ur lucky u have only just af mine came 2 weeks after i stopped bleeding after having jayda and have been full on ever since. except i skipped 2 cause it was so hot and wanted to go swiming then a week b4 this last period i started spotting and i was thinkin this one is gonna be a big one cause i skipped 2 but it was only like spotting but for nearly 3 weeks.

i am gettin so angry with jayds sleeping at the mo. how bad does it have to be to take them to a sleep school?
she is fine once she is a sleep but getting her to sleep is killing me. last ngiht was 2hrs of rocking which i made DH do cause i was so cranky with him lol.
i tried to controlled cryign last ngiht got up to 3min of cryign and she spewed everyywhere. then i put her on the floor while i tried getting her sheets off cuas ei forgot to put the protector back on afte rht elast spew a few days ago and she was still scream and spewed all over the carpet so i yelled at Dh to help cause there was spew everywhere so he got angry at me for yelling cause all i had to do was ask. but it is abit hard to say oh my lovely Dh please can u take the baby while i clean up all this spew, when u have had about 6 hrs sleep the whole week, r sore from tryin to exercise and he has done nothign to help all night.

Sassy - Sorry to hear Jayda's sleeping issues haven't improved. Maybe give the sleep school a call and explain the issues. They might suggest something else you could try and then if that doesn't work you could make an appointment to go in (actually probably worth making the appointment when you initially call them cause doesn't it usually take a couple of weeks to get in???). I can understand how frustrated you would have been, while DH did nothing to help. I've had this happen to me many a times too. I also end up shouting at him to help and get the same reponse back...GRRR! Now if it was the other way around we would just be expected to help and get that we shouldn't need to be asked. Men can't live with them...Can't live without them

yeah, sassy, IKWYM!! I made it DP's job to put Aadi to sleep now. I whinge to him by text message all day when it's really rough (like yesterday) then make sure that DS is bathed, fed and ready for gentle play and wind down before sleep when DP gets home. DP is really proud of himself now because he can put him to sleep without too much fuss, but he thinks I'm bunging it on when I have had nothing but trouble all day trying to get Aadi down for a nap. I just showed him the bruises from where Aadi kicks me. I've often shouted at him tho, when Aadi's puking everywhere or being a little horror and I just need a hand. He gets up me for shouting but it's so frustrating and I've told him so many times not to rack off at bedtime, so now it's just his job. He's been reading "The No-Cry Sleep Solution" on the train on the way to work!!
You could try the sleep school, but Bec's right, it can take ages to get an appointment or even a consultation. I can't offer any suggestions, coz I can't get my kid to stop fighting sleep. Yesterday he fought sleep and skipped his morning nap. By 11 he was exhausted but still fighting it. I took him out for a long walk but he didn't sleep till 12pm, then only for 50 minutes. He woke up screaming, and didn't stop or really calm down until 5 when he collapsed in a heap and slept for maybe an hour. By then DP was home, and he was a perfect little angel. GRRRRR!!!!

It was good, one lady couldn't make it but there was three of us and the children. One girl with a 20 mnth old and due for 2nd bub in 10 days, another with a 11 mnth old son, other one with 1 year old girl. I think we will meet up again soon.
I hope to get to the meet up in Melbourne in June so it will be great to meet you.

Hi ladies,

Just a quick one before i take DS to preschool. THings are going well,

We had a bit of a bad day and 2 wake ups but all is good.... DD has grown up just way to fast. i cant believe she is happy to play alone. I mean she went from being a clingy whingy baby girl to a delight. i mean she still has moments but its just so nice to see her able to amuse herself for for a portion of the day,she has been playing peekaboo with her Dora lounge, and she's just so inquisitive and intregued with everything.

Abb- Glad to hear you had a great time with the BB ladies....

NaNa and Sass- sorry to hear your having sleeping issues. Just when i think i have DD sorted out she does a back flip like last night AND NOTHING WORKS....

Bec- DS was my saviour and made me very proud. I have been trying to look at the FF as a positive as i was (am ) finding that i still struggle with the "bad mothers guilt" soi have to keep a positive spin on the decision or else i'd cave in and be a blubbering mess (like i was with DS) Wish my DP could put DD to bed... He tries but she cries for me, think he just doesnt do the same things. maybe eventually... DP is a bit slow to pick up on things....

Well GTG. Have a meeting with preschool about little miss... i'm thinking about starting the visits now.... want to know if tey'll let me slowly introduce her to stying... (I>E staying with her for 10-15 mins while she plays etc then slowly more and more.... just dont want to have to pay a full days fees for only 30 mins if she wont stay there, so we'll see what happens....

Hi All,

NaNa - doesn't that make you so frustrated when bubs turn to little angels when somebody else is around...I know when I have a challenging day with Cameron I'm watching the clock for when DH gets home as I know he'll to a 180 when DH walks in the door.

Abb - Glad you had a nice time with the BB ladies. Who did you end up meeting? I know there is a few meet ups happening up this way, but as they are in Brisbane I'm a little hesitant to go as I can't stand to drive around Brisbane and I know I will end up lost and frustrated on the side of the road (not worth the hassle) - but I would probably do a meet up if it was on the coast.

Jess - When do you think you'll be putting Tiahna in childcare for full days? I will probably start to do the lead up days from April, in time for mid May. It will hopefully make it a lot easier (for him and me ). Cameron is a big fan of peek a boo - we get lots of giggles out of it.

Well one of Cameron's top teeth have broken through overnight. It's amazing how quickly they pop through in just 12hrs (as I had checked his mouth before I put him to bed and I'm pretty sure it wasn't there).

He has also learnt to kiss - its a little opened mouthed and slobbery, but it's definitely a kiss. He had been doing that to me for a few weeks, but on Wednesday when Mum picked him out of the highchair she cuddled him and he turned his head to her and kissed her on the lips. He then did it yesterday arvo with DH - when he got home. It's so cute. He has also learnt to do that noise like when you play 'cowboys and indians' - with his hand slapping his mouth while he makes a noise. I've been trying to get him to do it for a few months - then finally last week he did it for me, and now he can do it himself. I did the grocery shopping on my own with Cameron the other day and towards the end he was getting a little bored - so I encouraged him to do this and it kept him amused for the rest of the time.

Well I actually tried to submit this about 1.5hrs ago but belly belly seemed to be down. Cam's now woken and time to get ready to go out - we're going to a playhouse/cafe with some ladies and bubs from mothers group.
