Sara: OMG.....I was jsut thinking this morning that Valentines Day is for us girls really...don't you think? I got a text msg this morning which is all he will manage I'm sure, but just for Brent making that comment I would servce up baked beans on toast! We have a voucher for a 3 course meal that we got when we bought the house, I'm sure Chris didn't think to book a table....its ok though, I don't expect much from him lately.

Sheree: I cant wait until its definate movement, it just feels weird ATM but happy all the same. Don't get me started on Chris, I have said some really awful things to him lately because he is frustrating me so much!

Elissa: I've heard baby brain never goes away! Hahaha I have an excuse now but I was the same before I was pregnant hehe. Chris is more than a mere male, I have put up with a lot (more than what most women would). I just wish he'd taken an interest in his family amongst other things......anyway not getting into it all.

Well back to work for me....Thought I'd have an easy day today but 1 person is away which means the girl I'm training has to answer phones and can't sit with me today....ahh well I can't expect to do nothing for the next 4mths hehe

Tania- baby brain never truly leaves!! I think mine went when I had Jess and never returned LOL
DH doesn't believe in Valentine's day so no presents but we did go to the club for dinner and my dad minded the 2 littlies. Jess got a dozen long stemmed red roses in a gift box with heart shaped chocolates delivered!! (I got to answer the door) and has gone out for dinner (ah young love!)
Today is mum's birthday so I have had a little tear for her, she would have been 67.

awww christine :hugs:. I hope jess at least shares the chocolates with you.

tania - woo hoo! the movements have started. I think thats the only bit that I miss about never being pg again. I used to love that feeling. And remember, just say the word and I'll come slap chris for you.

elissa - good luck with archie going to cc. Adam loves going now. He cried the first couple of times but not anymore. Why is it only a 1.5 days and not 2 full days? You have to pay for a full day so why not use it.

Dylan made me a card for valentines day and the little bugger then took it off me and gave it to my niece when he saw her, LOL. DH gave me the half eaten block of chocolates out of the fridge. So caring that he is.

Just posted this is the Baby and Toddler Thread

Briley has recently started having major temper tantrums. Little things trigger them. Last night she was playing with her cousin in a Hop 'n' Pop thingy and i pulled her out of it cause she was starting to cry and they were going to break the toy.

Then it started. She threw herself on the ground and carried on. I put her up in her chair for dinner and she would'nt eat. So i pulled her out of the chair and she went for a bath. Tantrum continued into the bath and after.I finally managed to calm her after i rubbed her down with some moisturiser. She finally went to sleep a while later but woke up a couple of times there after.

Now thismorning, she woke at about 6.30am. I wanted to try and get a sleep in so i took her into my bed, where normally, she would sleep until well after 8am. Not thismorning, she stirred in bed for a while and i managed to settle her but then at about 6.45am she started the tantrums again.

She crawled off the bed and got to the hallway where she tantrumed for about 10mins. I did not acknowledge her at all. I just let her there until MIL came over and took her outside. Ofcourse she stopped immediately. MIL brang her back into the house about 15mins later. MIL asked her if she wanted to come outside and help hang the washing out. Briley went with her at first but stopped to muck around with the door. Then ANOTHER tantrum started! After another bath. And the dummy she settled! But not until 15 mins later again!

I kept thinking thismorning "well she went to bed cranky, she is bound to wake up the same way!". Although i am not sure this was the problem. She has a cold at the moment and her canine teeth have been coming up and down. Not sure wether this is anything to do with it either.

Anyways.....I just wanted to know if anyone else is going through this???? I also needed to vent! Sorry!

Any advice or comments are appreciated!
Vic - Awww how nice of Dylan. At least the kids remember us!

Christine - Hugs hun. Happy birthday to your mum.

Tania - Brent came home from work and did'nt even come inside to see me! I was crook as a dog yesterday and i managed to pull myself out of bed to call him inside. When he came in he was greeted by me crying and asking him to wrap my leg! (Knee has to be wrapped when i shower cause i a not allowed to get it wet!) All he kept saying was "well if you that sick your not going to the meet tonight!!" I was going to a VBAC meeting with Birth Buddies. Ahole!

Elissa - I am seriously considering booking the girls into DC for 1 days a week. Just so that i can have some sanity! Life has been really hard lately. It does'nt help that we are all sick but Briley is just getting so bored at home. I think it would do her good to go for at least 1 day a week!

    Hi to everyone else!

I am sick as a dog and can't handle this $hit at the moment! I spse she is probably feeling the same way! Poor bubba.

I am going to the Drs to get my wound checked today. I am going to book the girls in the same appointment to have them checked over. Colby needs to have her 6 month needles and has a rattley chest. Then i have to do the damn groceries!!

tania - LOL, yep i would believe that baby brain stay forever! sure sounds like you have ut up with a lot from Chris, you are more than welcome to pm me or something anytime you feel the need to vent.

christine - ahppy birthday to your dear mum for yesterday, hugs. What an awesome boyfriend Jess has!! We dont believe in Valentines Day either, we spent the night at a motel on Saturday night for a romantic getaway so we told each other that that was our valentines day. Hope you enjoyed your tea

vic - LOLat Dylan and your DH, so thoughtful aren't they, the opposite sex. I can't wait for Arch to start CC, of course i am anxious about the first few times, but i know he will LOVE it. At this particular CC they do half days, so the reason im doing 1.5 days is cause its cheaper and i ony really need 1 day, ustdoing the extra half day to make it easier on him getting used to the place.

sara - Archie has had sme very similar horrible days lately and i think it is a mixture of canines, a developmental stage he is going through. It is so hard to have enough patience though, and i only have one kid to deal with! yeah, i wasn't really keen for him to go to CC as i enjoy beinga SAHM, but i really feel that he is acting up lately casue he is so bored with me and the things we do together, he will really get alot out of being with his peers and doing lots of different things and having more routine in his life. I am looking forward to his half day at care cause it'll be the first time since he was born that i will have m time to do whatever i wish! You are having a ***** time atm you poor thing, sending lots of get well wishes to your household.

had my counsellor appointment yesterday and it ended well. I was so worked up when i was in there and getting angry with her cause she wasn't doing anything that helped me, so i told her what it hought i needed and then she was great, gave me lots of things to try and get this sorted. She said she is sitting on the fence about whether i should go on meds or not, id really rather not if i can help it, but if my sleeping and stuff doesn't improve by Tuesday i think i'll have to admit defeat and start some meds.

Went to playgroup this morning, i had an absolute ball!!!! I couldn't believe how much i loved chatting with everyone today, really surprised myself. Archie had a good play too. Gona take him to CC this arvo for a play to get him used to the place, think i might take a Freddo Frog with us to bribe him out of the place when we're finnished, he had his biggest tantrum ever when we tried to leave the place last time!

Ohhh Elissa, sounds like you stood up for yourself, good on you. I think that is what you need, sometimes those counsellors just don't get it! Glad you had a nice time today too.

Hope you feel better soon Sara. Thinking of you.

Its been quiet in here again!

Jayden's first night on the single bed! His car bed still isn't here but thought I'd give it a go on just the matress on the floor.....So far so good, Chris put him to bed (I went to the movies with SIL's & nieces) I don't think he had any trouble going though so fingers crossed he stays there until a decent hour in the morning haha. I took photos of him....I was so excited to see him sleeping there.

Anyway sorry no personals tonight...Oh except, Christine hope your doing ok and you too Shazz! I'll try to get on tomorrow for personals

I'm still here and will be back shortly. Cam rarely lets me go near the computer - I told you all he'd want to be entertained the whole time - he can't do anything to keep himself occupied. It's like having a visitor lol.
For Darcy it was like he'd never been away. Gotta love a small childs lack of time concept!

Glad Darcy is OK with Cam, sometimes they get very possessive of the parent who has been with them all the time and won't go near the one who has been away.
Riley has been throwing heaps of tantrums lately, its driving me mad.

shazz - i hope your weekend has improved

tania - isn't it gorgeous to see them all grown up in a big bed, they look so small!

kim - oh thats so great that Darcy didn't forget him or anything like that! What a relief! How long is Cam home for?

christine - i with on the tantrums! going crazy here too.

Archie has stayed up til 11pm fri and sat night, at least this morning he slept in til 9 though. For some reason he has refused to have his day sleep in his own bed???? He has insisted on sleeping in our bed, he is asleep in there atm, i dont have the energy to argue with him atm so he is welcome to our bed during the day. I am really hanging out for cc to start, never thought id be hangingout to get rid of him LOL

Still not feeling better within myself, pretty certain ill be starting meds next week, i ust can't wait to get the initail few weeks of crappy side effects out the way so i can start to feel good again.

Had a lovely relaxing night last night with great friends, hope you all enjoyed your weekend too.

Elissa Darcy often wants to sleep somewhere else than her bed - our bed, the lounge, her fold out lounge. I've learnt to pick my battles and this isn't one of them. If she wants to sleep - great - where ever you like love.

    ETA he's home for good.

    Sorry no personals ladies.

We have had a ripper night with Lachlan, has really only had breakfast 2 morns in a row including this morning and hasn't eaten much else at all.

He was fighting a slight temp all day yesterday and was miserable by late afternoon. By 11pm he had a raging temp of 39.3 degrees. All afternoon he was shaking and had blothcy skin. His ears, back of his head, gums, and stomach are the main areas that are hot! Only the slightest of runny noses and no soft poos. Fluffin like a trooper. God only knows what is wrong. Wade was so worried about him he slept on the floor beside his cot. Then I took over at 5.30am to let Wade sleep as the little monkey would not go back to sleep. I am wrecked cause he woke 3 times after 11pm last night and I still had the monitor on, so I was awake every time, and Wade says he is tired hehe! I don't know how these mothers do early starts at 5am, bugger that! Anyway we haven't given panadol since 5.30am this morning and he hasn't had a temp since. Since not eating the best and only a little miserable. In pretty good spirits really, buggered if I know what was wrong. He went to daycare on Wednesday for the first time this year and we are sick already from it!
