    Sleep. Sleep. Sleep.

I thought we had it under control. Although Ella doesnt know how to crawl/walk/bum shuffle; She knows how to sleep.

But she fights it some days. Thursday is usually bad as she hasnt seen me all week so she'll want to stay up and play. Yesterday it took us 1.5hrs! then she only had 30mins before rushing off to the GP for her shots.

Today-completely different. Head on my shoulder and i say OK nigh nigh. And she rolled over in the cot and went to sleep.

I wonder what kind of baby she'll be tomorrow.

    Blanchie - Gorgeous.

Our GP said if she doesnt move in the next few months i will need to see a pediatrician! $200.
She made me feel like i was being soft on Ella. Coz she hates tummy time, she either rolls straight back over or she screams and breaks out in a sweat.

We'll we did a lot of tummy time and i found i keep changing the scenery ie. in the living room, kitchen, bed room, friends place. she'll stay on her tummy. I gotta say i'm a bit worried she doesnt move. Doesnt she want to reach things? hmmmm getting a bit panicky.

oh had Emelias appt with MCHN and she now weighs 11.5kgs, she was 11.18 last time and that was 2 months ago so her weight is slowing down heaps..she is actually on a line now ahaha the 97th pertictile LOL she is is 76.5cms long and hc 47 cms!!

Emelia had one of her tantrums in there (cos i told her no when she tried getting my phone out the bag) and the HN said ppl think they just get "terrible twos" but she said they get "terrible ones" too!! i have to agree!!

Wow Emelia is a nice size!

I dont have a check up until the 11/12 for Chelsea...seems so far away.

Was ment to have one today for Jasmine so i can see how her hip is going, but the nurse called in sick. Man i was peeved about it. Means another 3 days of hell waiting

Chelsea likes the blinds more then the curtains....i swear she is going to break them soon!

oh bummer Kim, hope all goes well at the appt.

We dont have curtins just blinds and she used to pull them but now is over it i think as they dont do much! but i bet she would have fun in some curtins if she could get near some!!

Ella goes. Blind is close, blind is open blind is closed blind is open....and it is so funny too. Big grins.

Blanche, Ella is 8.3kgs she's on the the 10h percentile with a 97th percentile head.
They say this may be why she hates tummy time having to lift that big head.

AJP - the mirror's a great idea. I'm feeling like a bit of a failure in the movement department.
All you guys must have been working on the movement thing. Ella bears weight and can stand for 5-10mins. She can also pull to standing but that's it.

ann i wouldnt stress about the crawling, many kids walk without crawling!!!

    sophie was 8.6kg, 74cm and head 45cm

ETA KIM if nurses in my council are away there are women who just fill in around the different centres, they even go to other shires!! so the feew times my nurse has been sick there is always a replacment

Blanche (i actually started typing emelia then lol), beautiful ring! I'll put a pic of mine on facebook, only cos DH had it designed for me and i just love it to pieces

Ann - Have you tried having Ella around other babies that are crawling? That is sure to work. babies see each other and think 'wow! i want to do that' and because they can see each other doing it they get a better idea of how it's supposed to look. that, and a bit of peer pressure always works

Jols - yes, whenever i go to get evie up after a nap she's at the end of her cot peeping out the curtains - its like she's gotta catch up on what she's missed while shes been asleep lol

Kim - sorry i must have missed it, what is/was wrong with Jasmine's hip?

As for CC, i always have been against it but what i've been doing is just leaving the room when she stands up and starts making a game out of it. i'm only ever gone for probably a minute at the most and i usually go by her cry as to when i go back in. when i go back in i just say lay down and she will and usually go to sleep. sometimes she'll hold my hand. but yes, it only took a couple of nights before it was working like a charm. However, tonight was a **** mostly because she's still a bit out of sorts and what was weird was that no matter how i held her she would wiggle until she finally wiggled herself around to how i used to hold her when she was a baby. so i guess she really feels like she needs to feel secure and comfy.

Jasmine has a funny hip on one side. With baies their leg creases should line up but hers dont. The nurse had trouble turning one side out. So has to be checked all the time. If at 6 weeks its still not lining up more then likely she will need to have scans done and go from there.

Yikes, Im so sorry to hear that Poor bubba. I bet everything will be just fine
HAving a crap night already and she's only been down an hour!! she woke up after 40mins crying so i gave her nurofen instead of panadol straight up since panadol did FA last night. she's asleep now. doesnt have a temp but is so not herself i dont know what it is...she has a bit of a cough so i'm hoping it 's just teeth. and what a little trooper, she opened her mouth so she could taste the nurofen, waited a minute and then opened her mouth to take the rest...awww so sweet
