WTG Tara, so cute!!! How is it going with solids?

Maya sounds like ECing is really working for you. We had needles on Tuesday, DD screamed the place down, it broke my heart. Does T like the ergo? I might try mine out on the weekend.

Heavenly glad the wrist is feeling better. What did you name your kitten?

LD sounds like your DD really likes those toes lol. They are becoming lots of fun now don't you think.

Ery how is the reflux now? Has solids helped?

AFM not much happening here, DD is never in the same spot I left her now. She still hasnt got the hang of rolling front to back so spends most of her day on her belly then whinges when she wants to roll over lol. We wont be starting solids here for a while, I am in no hurry.... just extra work and Ia m to lazy lol.

A big hello to everyone else.

    Hi Ozstar

Just reply to you about our solids adventure. Everything is going really well here, Tara now expects to get her solid food every lunchtime and gets very excited when she sees the spoon. She is now able to take about 30mls of solids and is loving all the different flavours being offered. I spent yesterday pureeing up potato, sweet potato and carrots for her plus she has been having rice cereal, apple, pear and a combination of different fruits. She doesn't seem to have had any adverse reaction to any of the foods offered and "touch wood" no constipation either.

I'm going to be interested to see how much weight she puts on now, seeing she put on 1kg last month and now weighs a good 6.5kg's. Oh, I've also had to go through and pack up all of her 00 body suits and all in one suits as they are too small for her now and get out the 0's (although they vary so much in size) but she can still wear all of her 00 separates so should still be able to get some good wear out of them.

or even search Elimination Communication on BB - there's a few of us who do it and the most recent thread on it gives you a good idea of what it's about ALso known as Natural Infant Hygiene. Your DH's abuela probably used it with her kids, I know mine did

Aww, LJ - I feel like I'm hitting and running in here all the time, no time for decent responses, that's why my quick notes appear on FB instead, where it's not so rude to hit and run!!
Wouldn't ya know it, young master is asking for more food and I have to go again, before he wakes his sister up

    Both asleep, woo hoo!
Heavenly - How sad for you and your family it must have been wonderful for you to have him for so long, and for the kids to have known him. DP lost his granddad a year and a half ago and he was so active, it's still hard to believe he's gone, or how quickly he was felled. I went to a funeral of a family friend the other week and he was a great granddad - boy, was he loved, and absolutely cherished by his grandies and great-grandies! I hope i make it to old age and surrounded by the progeny of my progeny. I hope his was a wonderful life 000! T is straddling 0 already all those 000 she never got to wear!
Oz - No teeth here yet; T is soooo wanting to try food, and I'm such a meanie cos I won't give her any she's nice and round and tough(what that girl's been through with her brother overly-loving her!!) so far and it's all on booby milk...it ain't broke and she can wait at least 6 full months, he he! She'll devour solids, I reckon, not like her brother (not that it did him any harm to wait till about 10 months to properly eat something...or did it???). And yeah, I can't believe the burst ear drum, either No wonder she was so waky last night, and so sleepy today (though I'm not ruling out concussion!!).
T is thinking she can walk already - gets up to a push up position, then downward dog, and creeps her hands towards her feet till she loses balance and comes down on her belly, defeated by the whole learning-to-stand caper...keep trying to tell her crawling and sitting are supposed to come first, so I guess she has to figure it out alone and not listen to my voice of reason. Walking's for th weak, anyway - I'll be impressed the day she pops her pony into canter and over a tree log
LD - yes, love my necklace!! I'm glad I waited for my preferred colour, we rock, now - so much so that DS is offended I didn't order him one (and deigned to wear his shark tooth necklace that T was wearing for about, oh, two hours, before I had to take it off again at his request!). I'm not allowed to, though, cos DP says he'll break it whilst swinging from something or other. Probably true, too.
Got some BabyLegs at Mothers Direct the other day adn they are rocking my world (20% off, too, for subscribers to ABA!), so my cooler weather ECing issues are just about sorted. With all our cardigans, too, my issues with all the bodysuits we had from DS will be old news - singlets and cardis are warm enough when she's in the sling, or even wrapped in the buggy. She's peeing on cue and when she's not sick doing her poos in the morning, mostly - pretty predictable, making it easy to go out and not deal with smeary bums She's also starting to hold on - held on today at the doctor till I got back outside to cue her, big long wee ensued that she'd been saving and hoping I'd remember!
I can't believe she's nearly 6 months old. I keep catching myself imagining DS at the same age and wondering if I was as besotted with him...of COURSE I was, I was pathetic. Soon we'll be in at MiL's and I'll have plenty of time to admire her and spend time with her, instead of hoping she'll sleep so that I can pack just one more box.
Packing - my clothes are just ridiculous! I've got clothes I don't fit into anymore and probably never will, and out of those there are some I'll optimistically keep. I've got clothes that are too big, but the pessimist in me says 'keep, you'll kick yourself if you don't' and then there's the stuff that fits that I never wear but might want to when I want to do gardening, revegetation, house rendering etc (but I HATE looking sloppy, so may just have to dirty up some nicer, but more worn clothes that can't be dressed up anymore...so shallow!!). Getting there, though.
From here on in our babies are going to get into all sorts of hijinx - Cam, Vee, Nina, Skybie, LJ, Jen, and our other AWOLs, please report
