Micky - Hyperdome is Logan Hyperdome, on the Motorway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We have been meeting there as it is half way point for the Brissy and Gold Coast girls. Another time we met at Garden City (Mt Gravatt).

L looks so much like DH did at that age. I will bring the photo along tomorrow so you can see what I mean. Some people say L looks like me, but I can't see it. He does have long eyelashes so I think he gets that from me! Hopefully L will get my ability to read maps!

I know I should try to wake L up earlier and do a late evening feed, but love that we have our evenings to ourselves and can eat dinner at a reasonable time. I will give it a go and see what happens. His day sleeps are usually 60 - 90 minutes. We work on a 90min feed, play, sleep cycle most days and I have been really strict in putting him down the minute he starts to show tired signs. Sometimes poor DH doesn't get home from work in time and L has already gone down for the evening. Its just not worth keeping him up even another 30 mins or so.

Anyway, might head off to bed and get some sleep before the night shift begins.

    Looking forward to the morning.

Kate - Ive never heard of them? Where are they??

Nerida - I can definately see you in Lachlan. Although I havent seen your DH but there is definately at least a bit of ya in there! LOL.

Chels dribbles a little bit but not heaps. Liam never dribbled. I cant really remember him having dribbly periods at all luckily. Ummmmm, I think Chels is probably more so me, and so is Liam. Dunno, we get people all the time saying she is exactly like Anth and then other people say she is exactly me. I guess she is a mix too.

    Looking forward to tomorrow girls!

Morning everyone...although you probably wont be reading this till the arvo after your little catch up to day...lucky you!

Everyone says that Max looks just like DH, which he does, but he has little things in him that are just like me. He has my dark features, as DH was MEGGA blonde, and he has DH's green eyes (yay!) Max more takes after me in the 'chunk' department!

I think I got past the mastitis thing. After the sore boob with the red blotch, I kept feeding from it (even though Max didn't like that one for a couple of days, weird) and now it's cleared up. So lucky!

While we are asking questions of eachother, here is another? (sorry if it's been done before) How did you choose your little ones name? Did you have loads picked out, or did you know from day dot what you would call him/her?

Max (Maxwell) - When I found out I was preggo, I called my bump MiniMax....as my maiden name (although it wasn't my 'maiden' name at the time!!) is Maxwell....and it just stuck. It really suits him too....AND my dad is totally chuffed as I am the 1st of only 2 daughters so it's a nice way to carry on my family name. Max's middle name is Benjamin, like his daddy.

Anyhoo...I'm off...hope you all have a fun day out and about

getting back to the mast v blocked duct thing. the main difference is the fever and flu-like feeling that you only get once it's developed into infective mastitis. blocked ducts are just sore at the spot but you don't feel utterly clagged.

once chills or aches have set in - antibiotics for you!

as for who the boy looks like... daddy-o of course. we couldn't tell who he looked like at birth but his eyes are getting very pointy like his dads. pointy almonds i call them. big, wide, pointy almonds. his mouth is like mine, so he's a little hybrid. his cheekiness is from both of us, i believe.

boomba - how cute is myles there in the sig. baby tummy pics r my fave.

boo catherine about today. nice day to stay home though, i suppose.

the little d00d is asleep at the mo,has thrown his routine out the window. pffft. what routine? all i do is three-hourly feeds during the day. sometimes they start at 5am but that's subject to change.

the other night i tried to dreamfeed him at 10pm and couldn't wake him up at all. i rubbed his tummy, picked him up, put him to the boob, bopped him in the face with nip and he didn't even stir. i put him back to bed and he was none the wiser. bah! when he wants to sleep there's nothing to stop him, not even the almighty booby.

Julia - Name wise DH wanted to carry on his initials RPJ cause he didn't want to carry on Ricky and Peter James came from my father who passed away in 2001 but the name Peter covers DH's middle name, my step father, FIL, and my dad and James cover my brother, my dad and DH's grandfathers middle name so we have got abit of each generation covered!!

Viv - Is James still sleeping through the night for you?? How much is he weighing at the moment??

Rhys is a dead ringer of his father!! I have nothing at all!! I have looked so hard for something to be like me and I have come up with his eye lashes and finger nails...Lol...I looked very hard indeed!!

Can't remember who got the tattoo but when do we get to see some piccies!! I have my tattoo picked out to get done once I finish breastfeeding cause I just don't want to risk it getting infected and going through my milk!!

Just about to start to get ready for our meet up. L is asleep atm, so I will get myself ready, get the car loaded up and then get him up, do a quick feed and we'll be off. Talk about needing to be so organised.

Julia - we initially liked the name Jack but just couldn't see it with our surname. We just threw names out there with the help of a name book and Lachlan was one we both agreed on. He has 2 middle names as both DH and I have 2. In my family it is a tradition to have a family name as a middle name whereas with DH his second middle name was to stop his inititals being a swear word: A R S became A R J S. William was just a name that we liked and sounded middle name like and James is one of DH's middle names so sort of keeping up my family tradition. We even considered the number of syllables in the name to ensure that it sounded good. We decided on the name by around 20 weeks so had a lot of time to get used to it. In the womb L's nickname was Nubby as I read somewhere that referred to the embryo as having a nub for limbs.

L has started dribbling lots too. He is also sucking his fist a lot.

Our closest Pizza Capers is at Toowong. We have eaten there a few times and yes the pizzas are amazing.

Best start to get ready. See you all soon.

The name Tahlia came from looking through the birth notices in the paper... we both liked it! And the middle name of Rose is after my mum

Viv - earlier on, when I had to wake Tahlia for night feeds, I used to touch her face with a wet cotton ball... it woke her 'nearly' every time

Tahlia was really hard to settle last night... think it might have been a combination of the heat and her needles... didn't get her down till after midnight, but then she didnt wake until 8am, so I guess its not too bad. I wish the cool change would hurry up... I'm over this 40 degree heat!

Julia, The name Maddison just came to me & we both loved it. Her middle name Joy comes from my aunty who passed away suddenly 4 years ago.

Kellie I'm so over this heat as-well.

Maddi is a tummy sleeper & every night before i goto bed i make sure she's on her back.
Now she has a habit of rolling on to her tummy during the night.
Think i may have to start using the anti roll thingy

Hope all you Brissie ladies are having a great time! There are so many of you!!

I meant to say, Ange - we missed you on Sunday! Hope everything was OK? I was so looking forward to meeting you & "Falguni"! Hopefully you can come to the next meet up.

    Julia
    - We really struggled picking a name. We struggled picking Joel's too, I don't like many boys names! Well, I do, but I didn't want one that was too common ATM. We both finally agreed on Kieran and I still love it! We would have loved to have named him Byron, but our surname starts with a "B" so we thought it would sound a bit silly. Heath, his middle name is my mum's maiden name and I wanted to include my side of the family somehow. Max is such a cute name!

Kieran's waking a bit too early from his naps today I think because it is so hot so I am feeding frequently to help him rehydrate.

Our dishwasher isn't working today I am getting a service person out on Tuesday, but now I have to hand wash a full dishwasher load, ughhhh....

    Have a great day everyone!

Julia - We came up with a boys and girls name that we both liked and Caitlyn was about the 50 millionth suggestion! Her middle name Louise comes from my dad constantly calling my bump "mary louise". don't know where he got that from but we both liked it. Plus all our female parents dont like their names and wouldnt wish them on a little one (Jan, Jennifer and Shirley). Dad didnt know Caitlyn was to be a girl.....he jsut said right from day dot that he was going to be having a granddaughter. Clever my dad!!
Oh and Caitlyn looks like her dad all over. She got my frown tho - DH says I constantly frown even when there is nothing to frown about. Maybe cause Im the thinker of the family?! She definitely got his eyelashes - nice and long and thick, his body (she is too long for 000 onesies and he is 6ft 3 I am 5ft 2)and his fingers and toes - all long! I am not sure how much she weighs right now but I will try and get in contact with the MCHN out here so I can finally get her weighed.
Oh and she got DH's pout too!!
Sorry all you guys have got the heat. I think I am used to it being over 40 degrees out here and this nice change that we have right now (rain and not even 28 degrees) has us actualyl turning off the AC and just having the fans on.
Anyway - am off to grab something to eat before I go and grab lil miss from d/care.
