Hey girls, I'm back!!
Not going to attempt to catch up, I missed most of the last thread!
Thanks for all the bday wishes, cards etc on FB...had a great bday and L's christening was fantastic too (apart from the inlaws who turned up half way through then disappeared at photo time - they were 'watch shopping'...wtf?? anyhoo).
News around here - days sleeps not so great the last week or so and have struggled with his settling a lot of the time (house full of people including noisy kids most days and two impending teeth don't help) Having most success with a nap between 9-11am and then again at about 2-4pm. Means he's awake for longer in the middle of the day than I'd ideally like, but if I try to put him down then he won't have a bar of it.
He's well and truly on solids now - up to 2 meals, breakfast and dinner. He HATES baby porridge. Gagged and carried on and spewed the first time I gave it to him. So have since mixed it with apple and he is much better. Loves his vegies at night and probably up to about 1/4-1/2 cup. Has had potato, sweet potato, pumpkin and baby peas so far.
Bottom two teeth nearly through! I'd say they'll pop within a few days..
He started babbling - said 'mama', 'dada' and 'nana' all for the first time on his christening day and now he says them all the time!
Still commando crawling and rocking back and forth on all fours. In the last few days he's gone half way from all fours to sitting (iykwim??) so not sure how long it will be before he can do that on his own.
So far his development is a bit more advanced than his sister - he's reached every milestone a month or two before her. I thought boys were supposed to be slower? Guess they really are all different and develop at their own pace.
**ETA: This just in - we have a tooth!! Another to follow shortly I think...
