Ambz, I hereby crown thee DORK of September mummies! We bow to you, your royal Silliness.
    Too funny mate.

Well I turned up to youth group late, popped into the office to chuck my bag and jacket in there, my mate was in there doing a spot of homework before joining the group, I congratulated her on her NEWWW engagement (he suprised her with skydiving - phwoar!), she asked how I was and I started CRYING!! Full on. I think it's just been one of those weeks where lots of little things happen, you know? Like I think River teething and constantly needing comforting maybe took its toll, and I haven't made the time just to be still and have a read of my bible, which is what I need. I didn't want to say, cos I still feel like such a baaad mummy, but Riv fell off the bed on Tuesday when we were there, I just didn't notice him pulling himself along, and then on Wednesday he fell off the change table cos I got distracted. I felt so bad. I just get distracted so easy.
Anyway. Am planning to take a bit of time out tomorrow morning, maybe go for a walk, before dealing with my dilemma of having double booked myself tomorrow night - got mates coming for dinner who are ttc and need some tlc, and my cousin's hens night! Ahhh crap.

Better get to bed though, I'm sure my late nights don't do too much good for me hey!
Hope everyone has a totally brilliant weekend!

    hi girls
sorry - one last question. a couple of you suggested panadol. any tips on giving this to a bf baby? last time i squirted it in his mouth with the dropper - he hated the taste, and just kept coughing/gagging on the taste. i bought another brand yesterday. do you try and sneak it in with the breast milk?
    thanks for your advice

anne - whenever I give panadol to nina, I give it to her in the dropper, but small bits at a time, otherwise she'll gag.

nelle - you poor thing. Sounds like you need a little time out. I know when I've had a lot going on I get distracted and that's when things happen, like River falling off things. I'm sure he'll be fine. Every baby does it. Nina has fallen off our bed too. Hopefully you get that time out this morning, and also take the time to read your bible.

ambz - PMSL, I bet you won't be saying that when your older, you'll be knocking a couple of years off!

Nelle, ruby has fallen out of her rocker a couple of times and yep i was distracted and felt real bad! But you are a good mummy and you just learn from your mistakes! I think some you time would help alot.I have felt a bit desperate for 5min of peace and tiredness plays a huge part as i was a blubbering mess at the drs a month back anbd that was whn i was up to both kids. One night it was 8 times! Dont be hard on yourself mate.
Ambz, savanna is such an adorable baby. Are you indian? Your dad looks indian?I had an idian friend i did nursing training with and her house was full of divine smells of spices.
Does your partner box? Who takes all the photos? you? or by a professional?
Ok,scrapping was fun last night but didnt make it a late one.Ive got visitors for tea tonight and i didnt want to be yawning!

    Hello sexy chicky babes!

Just a quicky this morning, mum and dad are due here in 45 mins and im yet to feed Jesse his breaky and tidy the house!

Anne.. Jesse always squirms when we give him panadol. If i try and do small bits at a time, he just jam shuts his mouth. After we squirt it in his mouth (to the side of his mouth) i usually stick his dummy in straight after so he just sucks it down. But yeh if your DS doesnt have a dummy, just squirt it in and maybe stick your finger in his mouth to suck on?

Ok gotta bail.. have a lovely day mummas..

annef6722: Bailey was like that when he was 3 months old, red cheeks and drooling ALOT. Just as a one off, we gave him baby panadol. Not sure how you can tell if they are or not, we just took a punt!

ness - I'm feeling 100% today. Antibiotics are doing the trick. Dr has also upped the strength of my preventer, which is helping in a big way too.
Have fun tonight! I'm glad it's you and not me

Hi girls... just a quick one.

Nelle - Hon, don't feel bad... knocks and bumps happen to the best of us. Xander had the biggest egg on his head the other day from when he fell and hit the tiles. The worst bit was that I was actually watching him at the time... it just happened so fast I couldn't catch him (he was trying to pull up from a sit)

Who asked about bubs and panadol? Xander hates the stuff... I bought Dymadon instead and he loves it. Much easier. He also likes the Nurafen too. It was just impossible getting the panadol in with the dropper, he'd just spit it back out.

We went out to dinner last night to celebrate our anniversary. First time out without bubba, it was so nice! Must do it again soon.

    Happy 8 Months Nina!

nessa, I do leadlighting too, but I've been too slack and all my stuff is packed away. They look gorgeous. Hope you get some sold.

anna - Congrats on your wedding anniversary!! Time away from them is nice isn't it. I'm going for a girls only brekkie tomorrow morning with a couple of girlfriends, and the dads are looking after the bubs.

Time to go, got a BBQ to go to.

    morning ladies!!

well i had a little sleep in this morning..then the phone rang and it was sis in law.

"i knew you would be sleeping" she says

arghhhhhhhhhh so why did you ring dammit!!! haha its all good i needed to get up anyways.

caddie: yep im anglo indian/english. hubby is mauritian.
unfortunately my house doesnt smell of yummy spices. i think im too aussie for that lol
we eat mostly european foods. mum brings yummy dishes over often cause i still cannot cook like her. when i try it never tastes the same haha
we are actually going to india for a holiday and my cousins wedding in december.savanna is going to be a little flower girl!!!
mum hubby savanna my brother and myself are all going together i cant wait for savanna to meet all her relos
hubby used to box couple years ago. that pic is from savannas pixi photos. it was hubbys idea to put the gloves on her. came out soooo cute too! i normally take all savanna's photos. im so camera happy always clicking away. but she is always so happy to oblige with a big smile hehe

jodi- im sure i will be doing that hehe im such a cluts! hopefully when im forty ill still look thirty!! heres to hoping!! haha
i still get asked for ID when i go to crown casino or buy smokes for hubby loll
i guess i should take it as a compliment

nelle: dont feel bad hun. im sure many of us have made the same mistakes. sometimes our little bubbas are just too quick. twice when i have been changing savanna on her change table she has nearly fallen off. once she was sitting up and toppled over forwards. lucky there is a tall washing basket infront which caught her fall and me grabbing onto her legs. its amazing how fast they can do things without you realising.
god hubby would kill me if he read this. he is so protective of her.
big hugs to you hun xoxoxox
oh and about the dorkiness yes that is me!!!! sometimes i say things without realising how dumb they sound. hubby used to call me jessica after jessica simpson. haha

ok better go mop my floors. damn white tiles!!!! grrrrrr

ps- savanna actually doesnt mind the taste of panadol. i on the other hand hate alllll syrup medicines!!!

Ambz - not pg already are ya honey? PMSL.
I made a cot scarfe (as Ive decided to call it) Ive made it out of muslin and wrapped it in and out of the bars then press studded it together at the ends. Will put pic on my site later in the mappys section. I made it with muslin for the air flow and if Vy steps on it it will just fall down. Pretty proud for my effort.
Ness - send me a pic of what yourve made please
Bel and Anna - taggy balls one their way for you. I made Xander a bib to anna and its in the package aswell. Sent it this morning so that means anna will get it in 2 weeks. Pmsl.

    Hey there sexy Honeys..

Had a lovely morning with mum and dad.. Yes Ness was the first time theyd seen him crawl and he was such a show off too! They were so proud.

Nelle.. aww hun. Jess has gone so close to falling off the change table so many times. His change table is next to his chest fo draws and i lent down to get something out of it, next i knew he had rolled over and was half hanging off it. On Monday at his photo shoot with Richie, we sat them on the lounge to take their photos and all of a sudden Jess decided to nose dive off the lounge, i literly dived, dropped the camera and just caught him. I think i may have told you all the story of how i was cutting his nails once and he moved and i took a huge chunk of skin!I heard it crunch! And he just looked up at me and dropped his lip. Oh hun i felt terrible, but its all an accident. Im sure River is going to have many more tumbles in his time.. but that doesnt make you a bad mum. But do make sure you get some you time ok.. even if you just take a warm bath and sit and have a read of your bible.. i think thats what you need. :hugs:

Ambz.. haha you doofus. Im 26 now, 27 tomorrow woo!

Caddie.. would love to see some of your scrapbooking.

Nessa.. what type of cake did you do for your sister? Take and pics?

    Jodi.. gald youre feeling better

Maz.. well done with the cot scalf... would love to see the pics.

Anna**.. oh lucky you, glad you had a nice night. We havent left Jesse with anyone yet.. its either been DH stayed home while i popped out or vise versa.. ive always been here at night for him.. too scared to leave him with anyone but my mum and she is an hour and a half away, so that doesnt really help.

Gotta go.. can hear some banging in Jesse's room, lil devil.
