Hayley- You are a wonderful Aunty.
Last night Olivia was unsettled and ended up giving her a bottle about 4am. I am so tired today.
I am so looking forward to the Christmas break. We stop work on Thursday the 20th for 2 weeks so we are having our christmas party that day and the boys also have their xmas party for Day Care on the same day but in the arvo. Mine is at lunch time thank god so I wont have any problems going to both.

Supa sometimes it sound like Logan says mum when he is upset. I cant wait until he is saying it for real.
Logand I are going to have a nice day at home today, no plans at all. Might do some baking for DH.

Hey LP- I bet thats why they are so naughty. Poor girls carnt hear. My DH has been deaf for the last 2 1/2 years due to inner ear damage. He now wears a hearing aid in 1 ear and need another in the other ear. He use to get very frustrated because he was not hearing people like he use to but now with the hearing aid he is a lot happier

Scarlet is having a sleep in today, it's raining... does anyone else's bub sleep better when it's raining?
I think it is Leemar - I have been telling my brother's ex for years 'They're not ignoring you, they can't HEAR you'... but they get smacked anyway and then cry thier little eyes out because they don't know what they've done wrong.

oh LP - those poor little girls!! Lucky they have someone special like you in their lives who will give them all the love they need and deserve. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible for you all.

Arghhhh I got a phone call at 2:00am this morning which I didnt answer. Curiosity got the better of me so I called the number back, it was man on the other end and he told me he had our DOGS! He had them tied up out the front because they were trying to get into their backyard to play with their dogs. Turns out our garage door was up (dont know how that happened)
I had heard our neighbours baby crying earlier because they had their windows open, so I knew they were awake. I called them and asked them to come around while I ran up the next street to get Boof & Bundy. When I got there half of the street were out with our dogs! THey must of been barking. I could of died haha.
Im so tired nowOkay ive had my whinge im going to read all the other posts now
Oh crumbs sorry I should of read the posts BEFORE i posted!!!!!! LP WOW you are truly amazing! You are doing such a wonderful thing for those girls and your brother & SIL. Im sure they will blossom with all the love & attention they will get living with you!

WOAH!!! I was just putting together a list of things i need for chrissie because we're having it here this year and i just counted out the kids that are going to be here and i'm starting to feel very overwhelemed...
Nieces; 12,11,9,8,7,5,3 and 1 yr(s)
BIL; 13 yrs
Cousins; 15,14,12 & 10 yrs
My older cousins children; 8,5,3,2 yrs
No wonder my mum "suggested" we have it here...
OUR NEIGHBOURS ARE GOING TO LOOOOOVE US! LOL

ARGH - I'm racking my brains for fun things they can all do... I have xmas pass the parcles for the little ones and DF is going to disappear and come back as santaAny other ideas?

Has anyone used those little wrist rattles? (with velcro, you put them on bubs wrists and they crinkle and rattle) I just found some in a drawer in Scarlet's nursery that someone must have given us as a gift and she loves them, They're made by Bright Stars.

LP - Bless you on behalf of mothers all over the world for taking those girls in and giving them the love and attention they need. Don't think you have to do it all on your own, next stop (after the hearing specialist) should be your local behaviour support unit, they will have all sorts of tricks and strategies which will help you stay one step ahead. I'm sure you will do a wonderful job!
Re things to do for Christmas - any water activities will be a winner - water balloons, water pistols, those wahu balls that you dunk & throw! Also continuous cricket or handball will work. They will all have pressies to play with too and keep a quiet corner with some books or DVDs for those who have had enough excitement and just need to chill out. Also make sure they all eat and drink at a designated time cos some kids will opt out of the food for fun and then you'll have a messy little breakdown on your hands LOL!
Jazmum, that photo is just gorgeous! We were planning a nice little chrissy photie of the girls but DD1 STILL hasn't had her hair cut (bad mummy, MD) so it won't go out with the cards this year.
Renee - how mortifying re the dogs. At least you've got nice neighbours, on my street the pound would've been rung.
Leanne, I bet you can't wait until your break begins - ENJOY!
OK, gotta go, still trying to track down the CHD as apparently they arrived in BigWs here but no one knows where they are (!!!) I feel like Arnie in Jingle all the Way, Sherie! LOL

Oh MD i forgot to tell you - My sister's girls have a CHD and they love it! They both have very long hair and from using it they've learnt to manage it SOOO much better!... they go all out with it for thier school fates, disco's and what not & they no longer look like little cave girls *lol* - Thanks for the great ideas!

lp i'm glad those girls are going to finally get the help they need and deserve along with much needed love and attention.. those poor girls.. i think your very brave to take them on with a newborn and lots of ppl wouldnt do it so good on you for putting your hand up for this very important job!!!! your christmas do sounds big too lol but i am sure it will be great!!

Noni, yep remember "Crispy Hair Disaster"? I'm trying to track down one of the Bratz ones. Cos it has a heart shaped crimper on it (among other things).
ETA - forgot to say, Elisabeth is 3 months old today!! She weighs 6.5 kg and is 62.5 cm long! And every inch a sweetie!

LP - good on you for taking on those little girls. Good luck with both of them, I'm sure you will be a great role model for them. And good luck with Christmas and all those visitors! I think bubs sleep better when it's raining because its dark. They also probably like the background noise.
MD - wow, 6.5kg! K is probably only 5.5 although with all these extra feeds lately, she's probably porking it on. None of the chemists around here have scales to weigh them on and we don't go back to the nurse until January.
Renee - how embarrassing about the dogs getting out - luckily you got them back safe and sound.
Last night she went down at 8:30, woke for a feed at 12 and 4:30!! I had a meltdown after the midnight feed, woke up DH because the bed was shaking from my crying. Jsut so tired. Of course she slept for almost 2 hours through mothers group this morning so chances of a long afternoon nap (for both of us) are looking pretty slim.
Finally visited the baby change room at the shops today. Usually we are there for such a short time there is no need. They're not too bad actually.
K had a big poo leak out the back of her nappy this morning. Her wrap and nightie were all dirty. I changed her nappy and fed her wrapped in a towel to keep her warm and then had to clean her up properly, she wasn't going to wait for breakfast.

hm, I think Scarlet is going through another sleepy stage... I went and had a shower and for the first time left her in the lounge room on her playmat because she's snoozing, I kept thinking i could hear her crying so i spent my 5 minutes in the shower turning the water off every 5 seconds straining to hear her *lol* I got out and she was sound asleep.
Can you tell we don't have plans today? I feel like the posting nazi.
ETA: I didn't see your post up there cally... Ew, leaky poos, We haven't had any of those yet... something to look foward too~! I haven't used any mum & bub change rooms yet either.

quick q when do they get teeth??? Asha is very clingy and grizzly a little dribbley too... when i put my finger in her mouth a few spots feel very hard could it b teeth already?

Noni ~ My brother's youngest is 14 months now and has most of her teeth, she started getting them at 2 months! I don't know if that's very common though... They're VERY strong teeth too, She bites everyone! lol
ETA: I googled it for you because i have nothing else to do, lmao...

It also says that they get their bottom teeth first, so if you're feeling them on the bottom they could be teethies!
