    Winter is coming
    5,000

MD and Queenie, yip it is about 1.5 hours south of Taupo. MD I have very fond memories of Dunedin, I lived there for 3.5 years for uni, then moved further south for another 1.5 years before coming over here. Time has worked its magic and I remember it fondly, conveniently forgetting how fracking cold it was lol.

Pregpan, W can roll from his back to his front but it doesn't happen very often, I am sure they will all be roly poly soon and we will remember back to the days when we could leave them to go to the loo

Cally, hope K is o.k after her vaccinations. Last time W was fine but this time he has a temp.

Swimming didn't go too well today, he cracked it a bit and we had to get out early. I think it is from the temp. I wasn't sure if I should take him but I thought that the water would be good to cool him down a bit.

Oz, I will PM you (if I can figure out how)

YIPPPEEEE!!!! i've just had a win!!!! for the very first time ever, i didn't rock, pat, bounce, or do anything to get max to sleep!!! i noticed yesterday that she really liked being wrapped and left on the floor, and then when she's REALLY sleepy she'll get grizzly again (mind you, she would've been grizzly which was why i'd wrap her in the first place). well, i was doing some ironing while waiting for her to get grizzly and when she started, i decided to just finish the shirt i was doing. and then i decided to turn the ipod on (she is programmed to fall asleep with dreadlock holiday). turned it on and voila! she fell asleep on her own on the floor. YIPPEEE!!!!

and an added bonus to this is that it means i don?t have to carry her for the next ?however long? while she sleeps coz? i won?t be waking her up when i put her down.

hi renee! after max has had a feed, i burp her on my shoulders and sometimes find chunky white on my arm and clear liquid that i presume to be saliva. the whites not big chunks...just not as runny. just assumed this was normal. oh, this is a bit recently. haven't noticed it before....xmas?

Fianne - Thanks for the tummy time tip. Maddie is not too good on the tummy, so I'll give it a go. Congrats on Max self settling.

Pregpan - Maddie isnt rolling either yet, glad to see she isnt the only one because I was getting a tad worried!

Renee - Maddie is on S26 Gold, every now and then I notice she has a spew that it a bit clear with white almost chunky bits in it. Sounds gross doesnt it, but this kinda of vomit (haha sounds strange analysing vomit) is never straight after her bottle, its always an hr or so later when it has started to digest iykwim. It doesnt bother her and I've never worried about it as I just thought it was chunky as it is the milk digesting?

Arte - I took Maddie swimming the other day, she loves her baths, but she didnt like the swimming and I think it was because it was a bit too cold.

Noni - Congrats on the loss! woo hoo!

Katie - Oh no sorry to hear you had a bad night. Do you not usually dream feed? Does Logan sleep through?

Queenie - That spew sounds lovely! I got covered in spew yesterday morning, just before we were to leave the house to go to work!! Perfect timing.

Hope all the bubs that had vaccinations today are fine! Poor things.

Well Maddie is going to have her first cousin VERY soon, my SIL is labouring at the moment. They started a slow inducement on Monday with the intention of him arriving today/tomorrow, so things are starting to move along and we are so excited!!

And I'm sure Maddie does the same kind of spews as well. Definately have it checked out though to put your mind at ease.

i was gonna post earlier and i had all this stuff to say but then we had a storm and i turned off the comp.. followed by a blackout where i was worrying over whether the power would come on or not because i need power to make formula because we have no gas everything is electric!
i checked and i am only .6 away from my goal weight at ww which they have set at 62.. i wanna be under 60 though we will see i am pretty short and 62 is the top of the healthy weight range...
Asha had pear today banana and rice cereal is still the clear favourite but she clearly appreciated it over the sweet potato lol tmw will be sweet potato and corn lol could be a tantrum waiting to happen oh well shes gotta get used to veges i suppose they arent as nice as fruit..
dp has been on morning shift this week and i must say i dnt prefer it.. its good that hes home in the avo etc etc but i stay up late now coz thats our pattern and have to wake up at 4 to get him up oh well hes on avo shift next week he keeps changing shifts coz hes on holiday relief atm and its $hiting me lol oh well i am just rambling now..
renee - Asha spews like that heaps!!! i am pretty sure its normal! if hes not in any pain i wouldnt worry hun..
fianne - congrats on your win with the sleeping!

Hey everyone! Been in electricity siberia for the past two days LOL - the power is finally upgraded and they had to do a lot of mucking around turing it all on and off making sure it worked, so we couldn't use anything while they were doing it.

Renee, Alister would do spews like that, its not a problem if he is otherwise well. A gets worse in the heat too and it looks terrible, but it's jsut the milk starting to curdle/digest kwim? But if you Mum has booked an appointment, it wont hurt to take him.

Pregpan, don't worry about N not rolling yet, he will get it in his own time. There is probably something he can do now that our babies aren't doing yet. Mine have been all so different in their milestones too. He sounds like he is going just perfectly though. have you had his hair cut yet? I bet he looks like a real little boy.

LP, tell your MIL that it's just not on - you have way more responsibility than what anyone at your age should have and it's a big ask for you to take him on too, even if it is only for a weekend.

Marydean, I am really looking forward to you venturing out here finally

Hi to everyone else, there has been so much to catch up on!

Took Alister to clinic today, I hadn't taken him since he was 7wks old, I've just been weighing him at the chemist. So his 'official' weigh in was 7.14kg, 68cm. His 'homework' is to look in the mirror more, as by now he should be able to smile at his reflection - didn't think it was that big an issue, but anyway its not a drama. He met all the other milestones they are supposed to be doing now.

Oh, and changing him over to an AR formula was the best thing I ever did - since Monday afternoon, I can count on one hand the number of vomits he's had, and I still have fingers spare!!! I am so pleased - fingers crossed it stays that way. Plus he is all of a sudden drinking more - he's gone from 160ml to 200-220ml. I thought he would have a bit less because it's thicker. he only takes about 100-120mls first thing in the morning though and spends the rest of the day catching up I guess.

With the tummy time (can't remember who brought it up now), Alister wouldn't spend 10 minutes on the floor before he's had enough, cracked the poos and 'demands' that he be picked up LOL. Sometimes if he is in the mood for it he will be on there longer, but not often.

Ozstar, I have PMed you now.

Sherie, good to see you. We had an official weigh in at the dr yesterday, he is 7.3kg and 63cm. Somehow I had him as 6.4kg and 64cm a few weeks ago, either I measured wrong or he shrunk lol. Was it Erin that crawled at 4.5 months? She must have looked so tiny scooting around at this age. Glad your AR formula is working, must be cutting down on a heap of washing.

Noni, congrats on the loss. The lady I go to swimming with commented that I have lost heaps of weight since the xmas break. I haven't, but I will take the credit anyways lol

Fianne, good to see you back. Oz and I are having a little meet up at the Gold Coast on friday, you are welcome to come if you want. Congrats on getting Max to self settle. My trick is to feed W to sleep lying down on the bed, then when he is asleep I can climb out. It saves having to transfer him once he is asleep which usually causes a wake up.

W seems to be better this evening. He is still a bit hot and has big red lumps where the needles were but he isn't all flushed and sad now.

arte, good tip/trick on the lying down feed. will try that on the days that i want to have a nap. would love to join you ladies on your meet up but i've got mother's group at southbank on friday. if you decide to catch up another time, let me know and will try to make it.
somebody said that they're missing the tired signs....so am i!!! i'm just catching it based on the clock. also, seems like she's staying awake longer. do your bubs have longer awake time nowadays?

sherie - watch the AR formula Asha did really well on it for a while then started getting sick on it coz it was too thick for her to vomit and she just needed too iykwim? also the gp told us eventually they usually get constipated on it.. i am not trying to bring down ur success with it please dont think i am!!! i hope it keeps going really well just something to look out for.. lol homework Asha dosnt spend much time infront of the mirror either she does have a me in the mirror but she seems to see everything and everyone else except herself hahaha
arte - lol @ taking the credit anyway!! i ment to ask you when you go swimming where do u put everything? i was thinking of taking Asha until i realised because i dnt drive i will have stroller etc with me and then have to leave that unattended.. any ideas?

Noni, no worries The MCHN did ask if he was getting a bit blocked up and he isn't, but if he did, he is just about old enough for a little bit of boiled water anyway. I still have a tin of Lactogen here, so I was going to use that somewhere down the track so it would get used up, so I can always start that if he shows signs of constipation etc. With the pool thing, does your local pool have lockers you can use?

Arte, LOL at your shrinking baby. Glad that Will is going OK now after his needles. It was Erin that started crawling that early, and yep, she was pretty cute cause she was so small LOL. I still have some of her old clothes (I am such a pack rat) and her little trousers were only 00 and the knees are all worn out on them, very cute! I have no idea when to expect Alister to start, hopefully not for a while yet - I still have to train the kids to pick up their lego after they finish with it.

Hi Fianne! A will have some days where he is really sleepy and other days he is awake most of the day. It's hard to predict what the day will bring, but if he's tired I just pop him straight into bed. Lately I think the hot weather here is making him more sleepy though.

sherie yes they have lockers not one big enough for the stroller though Asha drinks boiled water every now and then lol she now drinks out of a pop top bottle because she wont drink from the sippy cup and we were out and she was over heating and i let her have a sip from my bottle and was surprised how well she drank!!
