Oh no Noni! is it bad on your arm? I have a tiny little burn on my thumb - I was cooking dinner for DH to take to work tonight and a little bit of hot oil splashed on it and by crikey it stings. I remember that ad too! I used to LMAO at it.

Gracie, I reckon in general the gender selection things aren't worth bothering with, but when we tried for Alister we did use shettles to conceive a boy because we thoguht it was worth a shot kwim? If it didn't work out so be it, but if it did then great, but I think it was coincidence anyway. but when we fell pg with the girls we DTD on the appearance of ewcm, but I have since worked out that I O a few days after ewcm - so maybe shettles has worked for us?

Marydean, I think you need to jump ahead a week in your mind and bring your anniversary forward by one week and celebrate it then - I know it wont be the same, but it would be unfair to have to miss out again this year.

Cally, maybe you could just take a 'never say never' approach to having another baby. You wont always be 'banshee wife' (and I mean that in the nicest possible way ) and when Katie is bigger things will be different. Don't forget that hormones are still all over the place too.

Pregpan, that's great Noah is 100% back to normal. Alister today has been inhaling food practically, so the gum pain must be finally gone. Fingers crossed he doesn't get sick again for you for a long time.

Alister's egg has gone and his bruise is a lovely yellowy-brown now, but he's gone and gotten one on the other side now (not the egg just a bruise) because he was standing up at the back door and it came open and he fell over. People are going to start to think I bash him LOL. he's started this thing where if I stand still for too long he pulls himself up on my legs and wont let go - if I start walking off he will keep hanging on and walk along with me, sooking because he wants to be picked up. He's also cruising the furniture pretty good now, but Im still hoping he is a long way off walking yet though.

ETA - Marydean, DH hasn't had his SA done yet either - it was supposed to be after 20 ejaculations or 3mths - well both have come and gone and he hasn't done it and I'm sick of having to use protection when we may not have to kwim? He said he wants to give it more time to make sure there is none because he doesn't want the hassle of having to redo the test if there are still swimmers.

LOL Sounds like Men's Logic to me. I sent DH to get his SA done on Sat - apparently he'll get his results today or tomorrow. Uh Oh, better batten the hatches LOL!

Hi Girls!!!!!!! Wowsers it's been awhile! We got back from brisbane yesterday afternoon...frikkin qantas lost my pram! well actually they forgot to put it on the plane. luckily it wasnt the bugaboo. i bought one of those quicksmart strollers for the trip. so at almost 10pm that night the guy comes around with it, phew!

i havent had time to read through all the posts... except WAY TO GO Gracie!! LOL! that's the spirit! hmmm baby girl making tips...well it involved loads of champagne and a long weekend!! LOL (sorry TMI!!).

Sherie: you have no idea how nice it is to hear that our hormones are still crazy!! everyone expects us to be 'normal' now that leila is heading towards the 9 month mark, but honestly, i am still all over the place and just like Cally, i cry at the most ridiculous things...also, i am very vague, but mum tells me this never goes away!! LOL

MD and Cally: yep the divet on my couch is getting more pronounced each night!! LOL! oh how i look forward to the evenings to ourselves!! even if it is just to watch home and away...although i have just bought the dvd series 'weeds' so no doubt that will be our winter viewing...

anyway had best dash and prepare dinner for leila. went shopping and bought meat (MACH nurse told me that she needs to eat more meat to boost her weight...egad. we rarely eat the stuff, so should be interesting!!).

hope everyone is well, and Noni, i hope the burn is alright!! leila too pulled on the tablecloth and almost spilt a vase of flowers everywhere...no more tablecloth in our house!

Hi Clare!!! Was your trip great apart from the missing stroller? At least they did find it for you in the end. Ooooh I am jealous of you owning a DVD set of weeds - I loved that show but it was always on too late for me to stay up and then it faded into oblivion.

Gracie, we are the same I guess, we haven't talked about it but we haven't used any contraception since W was born. I guess we will reassess when AF comes back.

MD, no dust smell with the Dyson here. I agree with Sherie, bring your anniversary forward. You already have to be alone for ages, don't miss out on a kid free spoil yourself weekend too! Good luck for your DH SA.

Sherie, thanks for the not happy jan link, it is quite a funny ad. It all makes sense to me now.

Cas, I am vague all the time too. I am hoping it goes away, half the time I forget what I am saying mid-sentence.

We went over to the neighbours - the wife and daughter have arrived now. They seem very nice, W and the girl were so cute together. She is just turned 1 but very petite so they are about the same size. She kept trying to pat him, it was adorable.

    Hey girls,

Just a quick one from me I will try and jump on tomorrow for more.

Logans first tooth is just breaking through I was so excited to show DH when he got home. At least I think I know his teething signs now IYKWIM.

Wooo go Gracie, have you had AF back yet (if you don't mind me asking). We are going to start TTC early next year (well thats the plan at the moment). I too would love a DD but dont think any of those gender things work, although my Aunty tried a lot of them for a boy and got one.

ETA Arte I am glad you are starting to make friends. That W of yours is going to be a little heart breaker

baby girl making tips...well it involved loads of champagne and a long weekend!! LOL
Clare - LOL that must be the secret...that's what happened here (champagne and Christmas public holidays), and Voila! Baby Girl!! That's funny about your DVD set of Weeds, I was just about to look it up at the public library! Great thinks mind alike!! LOL

Katie, Wow, well done Logan on your toofie! How exciting about officially back TTCing next year!

Arte, glad you've got some compatible neighbours. I've got the meat-smokin old serbians on one side and the crazy dog-barking-complaining-lawn obsessed folks on the other side - just counting my lucky stars I got the FDC across the road LOL! Speaking of Ads, do you remember that NZ one that had the guy off Spicks and Specks dressed up as the Margerine Fairy? PMSL Saw that when we were in NZ on our honeymoon.

Noni, glad your burn's not too bad. I always burn my tongue when I make soup - I go to taste it right at the end and I *never* let it cool enough - do it EVERY time.

    hey chickies!

well, sounds like i need to get some champers lmao. i think there's a long weekend coming up in june yeah? i've got a girls name picked out and everything (it's a secret so i can't tell!). i'm only having one more baby so i'd really love a girl- especially seeing as i'm the only female in my whole family!

katie- i've only had AF twice since the birth so i really don't think our ttc plans are going to go too well!

arte- so you're sort of being slack with contraception as well? good to hear!

i'm off to the movies tomorrow to see mums and bubs session of 21. can't wait for the sex and the city movie!

oh, pregpan- i think i remember right, are you the cosmetics junkie or am i thinking of someone else? if so, do you know anything about dermadoctor?

Just lost my big post wtf!

Re the ttc, I'm still getting over child birth, I'm so scared to go through it all over again. Sherie how on earth did you do it 4 times, please tell me it really does get easier lol. Give me a few yrs though and I should be right Also i just made the decision today to go on the pill after a couple of scares. I hate the idea of it though. Last time it made me feel sick all the time & I just dont like the idea of hormones messing with my normal cycle. Oh well I am not ready for another bub yet.

Maddie has been waking during the night for the past few nights with her teeth. So sad for her! I am actually loving having an excuse to bring her into bed with us.

Katie - Congrats on Logan's 1st tooth! Was DH excited?

Cally - I could easily see myself with one child as well. However like the others have said, dont rule it out yet, wait and see how you feel once DD is older.

Noni - Asha sounds like she is going very well with her development. Maddie is still not crawling lol, she just likes to sit! OMG lucky Asha didnt burn herself, scary. How are her teeth going?

Gracie - I CANT WAIT for sex & the city. I can watch s&tc over and over and over. You are so lucky having the choice of not having to go back to work!

MD - LOL at your neighbours! You really picked the short straw there!

Clare - How was Leila on the plane? Just as well they found the stroller in the end. I've just started Maddie on red meat, so far no good lol! We dont eat alot of meat in this house either.

Sherie - Ouch Alisters bruise sounds nasty!

Pregpan - So glad to hear Noah is over that nasty illness, really messed him about for a while there.

Anyway have to keep it short ladies, I've got work tomorrow.

LOL Hayley, call me perverse if you want , but I didn't mind giving birth and I am truly sad that I will never do it again. As hard/painful as it is, I loved it (or does that make me a sadist?) and of course at the time you wish you were somewhere else, but when you reflect back on it, it really is the best thing you can ever do.

Gracie, I just never *got* the whole thing with SATC - couldn't see the point in the show and I have no idea how it sustained itself for all those years.

Noni, glad to hear your arm isn't bad.

Arte, that's lovely you got along so well with them, maybe this could be a lasting friendship in the making?

Katie, how exciting for Logan to finally get a tooth!!

woo hoo leeanne on olivia's crawling! I am v impressed with all the bubs in here. Noah is like Maddie - more interested in just sitting there - but I am ok with that and am enjoying not having to chase him around yet!! LOL!!
Gracie - I am a bit of a cosemtics junkie but i haven't heard of that brand - sorry. it is prob new and sincehaving Noah i have no idea LOL!! i would also like a girl next but i am not too fussed (and am hoping to have more than 2 so i guess it doesnt matter much LOL). I havent had AF AT ALL since having Noah so i am guessing it will take us a while (i am on mini pill atm). btwi thought moana seemed even more like a bunny boiler in the last bachelor episode - i am glad hepicked sarah - she seems like anormal person. i hope they do a follow up i want to see how it works out... I also CANT WAIT for the SATC movie...
ok better go girls, lots of work to get through today - was a bit slack yesterday and have a massive presentation tomorrow... ooops!!!
i will be back later though.

ok girls so it sounds like i need a holiday then?? nz you reckon?? nice!
problem is, i have trouble even travelling down the mountain to the supermarket atm! lmao

noni- sounds like you need to get that checked out, make sure it's nothing too serious

sherie- i'm surprised you never liked satc. i'm not so much into the shoes/fashion side of it, but i think it has some very funny one-liners in it.

pregpan- we were absolutely SHOCKED when he didn't choose moana...but you are right..she looked like a total psychopath in the last episode. the way she kept crying over him and how she couldn't talk to his parents like a normal person was freaky. i need to buy some new skincare and i was recommended dermadoctor and i thought you may know something cos i too, am completely out of the loop since having lewis.

    leanne- way to go Liv!!

hayley- yeah it would definitely help us financially if i went back to work but i'm just really keen to spend more time at home with lewis. we're doing it tough but not as tough as what some people are atm.

i'm off to the movies, have a nice day

Gracie - OooOO How exciting! I think thats a great way to do it, not trying but not ..not trying LOL! That way there isnt too much pressure or disappointment.
Hope you and Lewis have a great time at the movies! Im going to see SATC next weekend and im soooooo looking forward to it! There will be about 20 of us going to the special SATC screening (****tail dress & heels compulsary), dinner and then we are all going out to DANCE!
Ive been thinking about buying a couple of the Dermadoctor products but they are quite $$$. Heard good things about them!

Noni - How is Ashas thrush? Hope its all gone now! Im glad your burn wasnt too bad Does the cervical cancer vaccine hurt??

Hayley - Poor Maddie! Rory is having a hard time with his top teeth too. He was up twice last night. What are you giving her? How is your uni work going?
LOL im in the same frame of mind as you! Im not too worried about the pain for the next time around im more worried about the length of labour. I was so exhausted by the time I had buggalugs I felt like I had nothing more to give...! At this point in time ill be having a C-sec next time.

Leanne - Congrats on Olivia walking, thats fantastic! Rory is still comando crawling LOL!! I dont think he will ever crawl haha.

Sherie - JEEPERS! I must of missed a post or two along the way. I had no idea A was so active! AND STANDING whoaa what a clever boy Im so close to getting that damn heinz/fisherprice train LOL! I resorted to buying 10 tokens of ebay...sad sad I know haha.

Arte - Whhoooooo sounds like W had a grllllfriend haha Thats so sweet they get along well. My friend has a 1 year old and he just wants to whack rory in the head! Im glad your finding new friends. How is mothersgroup going?

Katie - How is Logan going with his teething? Im glad its broken through though, the worst is over

    MD -
    lawn obsessed folks
LOL that sounds like my DH, the lawn Nazi haha Did your DH get his results back??? is that why you havent been on this morning haha. How is H going at school now?

baby girl making tips...well it involved loads of champagne and a long weekend!! LOL
Thats how we got a boy LOL! Well it wasnt champagne it was vodka LOL!

Rory has been peeing through his huggies nappies. Ive been changing the sheets every morning! Is there something I can do?? I put him down at 7:00pm and he wakes at 7:00am-ish (except for the last few nights, thank you very much toothie pegs), do I need to wake him during the night to change him?

I got a noice pay cheque this week so im off to the shops to blow it on buggalugs LOL!

renee - noah was peeing thru and we resolved it by putting him in GIRL nappies overnight LOL... do you find he is peeing up the front or sides? if so this may work for you too (cant wait to tell his 1st girlfriend this story)

md have also meant to ask you re the vegie fritters - do i cook the veg before i grate them? been thinking i could just grate some carrot and zucchini and add to pikelet mix (i dont make it with sugar) but wondered if i have to cook the veggies first? same q re how you do this with pumpkin, potato or sweet pot. the pikelets went down so well i want to make some veg ones. thought i could do the same with pear or apple for him as well. thanks.

ps all you girls talking about me doing a baby cook book haveme thinking about it - something like a busy mum's guide...hmmmmm

Pregpan, if you don't cook the veggies first, cook the fritters on a lower heat and keep them in the pan longer so they cook right through. Potato is the main one that takes longer to cook. I just grate the veggies and crack an egg/egg yolk in then keep adding flour/cornflour until it binds. BTW I do pear, apple or banana pikelets all the time, go down a treat with DD1 after school! I usually grate/mash 2 pieces of fruit and add it to regular pikelet mixture, a bit of cinnamon or allspice is nice too.

Sherie, I never ran with SATC either - but I get that it was loved by millions particularly cos those gals don't answer to anyone, they live the lives they want to! I won't be running out to see the film BUT I can't wait until Mamma Mia! LOL I watched the Abba Movie (filmed in 1978) on Sat night - haha that was a trip down memory lane. I can't believe how much they used to wave their bums at the audience PMSL.

Renee, H is going really well at school. Apparently bully-girl denied everything so they are going to hold a meeting where she will have to answer to H. DH rang this arvo to say he got his results and is good to go. There were a few crass jokes at work, I take it. I asked him if he felt sad at all (I do) but nope, just pure glee.

Noni, that's the exact same feeling I get when I'm coming down with a viral sore throat. It starts on one side (and even my tongue hurts) then over to the other side. Or it could be an ear infection? Maybe see how you feel later tonight/tmrw and decide about seeing a dr then?

Leanne, well done Olivia on getting your crawling direction sorted out! Nice work!

Hayley, if your last pill made you feel sick all the time, talk to your dr. There are zillions of different brands now and they should be able to find one for you with the least number of side effects. I nearly went loony on one pill (I was much younger and just thought I had this out of control PMT, then one day I noticed it only happened when I started the pink pill) and then my dr changed my script and ta-dah! Back to my normal self again.

Gracie did you enjoy the movie? I was going to step out to see a flick yesterday but decided to stay at home and conquer my paperwork instead.

Well Bettybubs has been clapping constantly now that she can. Apparently that's all she did at FDC yesterday, crawl around and stop to clap (looking around to see who was watching her LOL). She's also starting to cruise around holding onto the furniture. When I hold her arms she steps sideways not forwards LOL!
