I'm sure your DH's intentions are very innocent and he's being helpful and all that, BUT, I completely understand how you're feeling and I would feel exactly the same way! Sometimes men just don't think Does his mother know how you feel and about the history? I'm sure she's just being nice but I also wouldn't be too pleased with her hospitality either.
Don't feel silly for feeling that way it's only human...or female...or both. I'm sure you have nothing to worry about, but he really could have considered your feelings a little more specially as you've just had a baby
