Hi Beany - the Tizzie Hall book is called Save Our Sleep. It hasn't really worked for me because Matilda doesn't really want to settle into a routine and I haven't wanted to try self-settling yet. But if you're wanting to try out a more structured routine it might be worth a look. And don't let other people's unreliability get to you and stop you enjoying your BD high tea. I know how you feel though. I don't have a wealth of friends in Hobart and no one that I would really call a close friend.

Rose - I understand your dilemma about the dream feed. I often wonder too. Because if Matilda has her last feed around 7:30/eight she will often wake at about 1am and then again at 5am if I'm unlucky. But its hard to bring yourself to wake them!! A few nights ago she went down a lot earlier at 7pm and I accidentally woke her at 10pm so fed her. And she only woke once. So I think when I can get her bed time down to 7pm on a more consistent basis I'll throw a dream feed in. Enjoy Avatar! We went when my parents were staying and loved it.

Carmey - bet you made the tradies' day LOL!!! Don't worry I did that in a car park a couple of weeks ago after I'd been feeding Matilda in the car. I was leaning over doing up her stroller buckle and realised my boob was hanging out as people were walking past Fantastic news about your cousin her little boy!!

Hi Alison - Wow for Amelia rolling!! I can't wait until Matilda starts. And sounds like you're doing the right thing by Amelia by just following her cues. You'll know when she's ready to drop the dream feed. I can't wait to see your pictures!!!

Hi BS and everyone one else.

Well I just want to issue a vent alert. I'm feeling a bit miffed with DH at the moment. He was away until Wednesday night and then was working from home the last couple of days. So I've tried not to bother him too much. But we finally get to Saturday and he's gone off to Aikido for 3 hours after which he's coming home to work on a job application and then off to Sydney for 4 days again at 10am tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'm feeling a bit neglected and left holding the baby or whether I'm just envious he can just galavant about. It just would have been nice to spend one day of the week together as a family. Am I being unreasonable? I'm not sure what's normal having had him around so much until the last month or so. And I feel guilty trying to stop him doing things he enjoys.

Sounds like we've all got some fussy little babies on our hands with teething, colds and what not. Hope they all cheer up for their lovely mums this weekend.

Oh and had a major case of baby brain yesterday. I needed to duck down to the super market and couldn't find my keys, so DH lent me his and guess what I found in the ignition when I went to get in the car - my keys. Woops. The car wasn't even locked. I suspect I'd rushed to get out of the car the day before because Matilda was probably screaming. I'm glad I was the next one to get in the car and not DH
