Carmey - omg you flasher I know someone else who did that too! So glad that the operation went well. Creatinine is a breakdown product of muscle metabolism and is filtered out of the blood by the kidneys - if your kidneys aren't working, your blood levels are high. And that's the most I've put my decade at uni to use in the last few years
Alison - I agree, just go along with the routine that Amelia has decided on, and bugger what anyone else is doing or says. Only you and Amelia know what's best for her ultimately. And go Amelia with the rolling! Can't wait to see her photos!
beany - the photos of Michael on FB are *gorgeous*. I hear you on the friends thing, too - I find it pretty difficult to make friends, since I'm generally quiet and shy. Most of my friends these days are really DH's friends. But I happen to think that you're pretty darn shiny, if that helps at all I hope you enjoy your dinner on Saturday, too! And I agree with you about people hiding criticism in the babytalk, too - it's aggravating. And if you're interested in Tizzie Hall's book (Save Our Sleep), I have a copy that you're welcome to look through or borrow.
Tilda - I have a feeling that Liam is beginning teething, too - he chomps on everything like crazy and is a drool monster. Urgh, not looking forward to teeth!
AFM - Liam is much better today, though still somewhat cranky and in need of comfort. Again, he refused to lay down for his naps, so I've had a baby velcroed to me all day (apart from a short period where Mum came over and took him so I could get some stuff done, and when I had a shower this morning - which was accompanied by much grizzling). He's down in his cot for the night now (though he's woken a few times crying, but has settled down with his dummy) - I'm not going to worry overmuch so long as he'll sleep in his cot at night, and just work on getting him in his cot for at least one nap a day. He's back in a routine of not napping much right now, too, which doesn't help the grizzliness. But his cold is definitely improving - I reckon he'll be right in a couple of days.
I've been wondering the last little while if I should try to introduce a dreamfeed. His last feed of the night is usually arpound 7.30-8pmish, and then his next feed is anywhere between 1-3am (usually, though it varies). I tend to go to bed anywhere between 10pm and 11pm, and it would be theoretically easy to feed him before I go to sleep. I'm kind of paranoid about waking him up, though. I guess I shouldn't mess with what works for us, but gosh, it would be nice to sleep through for six hours or so.
DH and I are off to the movies again tomorrow - this time to see Avatar (DH has already seen it, but I haven't). I feel bad leaving Liam again for a few hours, but after being with him every waking hour all week, I really need a break.
