    Hi Girls!

Hi Mel, out of interest, what are the reasons for not having the rota virus? Just curious and interested. Hope the Panadol did the trick.

Hi Kymmy - don't worry about what others think, you do what you feel is best for bub. I'm all for immunising but that's me. I would just be worried about them catching something bad, especially when going to kindy/daycare/school etc. I had whooping cough/croupe when I was little and nearly died from it so I like to think Amelia will be somewhat safe from things like that. I am very much into natural therapies too though so wouldn't mind hearing about what you've discovered. With my wheat issues I have had lots of tummy problems, medication could help me but I don't want to pop synthetic drugs unnecessarily so take lots of natural things to help. Hopefully one day I'll be able to eat it again!

Hi Ubbs - so sorry you feel ill, must be a cold by the sounds. My teeth are sensitive when I have a cold, I have crappy teeth lol. Talking of which, I finally booked in the dentist for next Monday, I HATE the dentist but cracked a filling in hospital with Amelia so thought I'd better get it fixed finally. It doesn't hurt but it's pretty big! Also, I got sunburt on the weekend on my chest and while the sunburn has gone I've gone up in a rash where it was, it's quite ugly, very red and very itchy but hurts when I scratch. I've had it before last summer, not sure what it is but I'm known to have dodgy skin complaints here and there ha ha. Oh well, the aloe vera should help.

Anyway, Amelia is sleeping, she was definitely better today than yesterday but I'm just going to have to ride with this Wonder Week/s.......gotta take the good with the bad I guess!

    Have a lovely evening girlfriends!

Hi Mel, out of interest, what are the reasons for not having the rota virus? Just curious and interested. Hope the Panadol did the trick.
Well - for me - the risk of what the "disease" is compared to the risk of the immunisation is less than say, whooping cough. I immunised her for that one, because there is an outbreak of it in tassie at the moment, DS goes to daycare, so the probability of her catching it is higher than the risk of side effects of the immunisation.

However - DS has had rota virus when he was younger. He had the craps for about 3 days, but we survived it, and he was fine. I kept him well hydrated with fluids, and icy poles, kept pumping them into him, so he wouldn't end up in hospital from dehydration - which is the main thing that they say is the concern of babies catching the rota virus. Plus - the immunisation is still quite new - he got rota virus because there wasn't an immunisation for it yet, so who knows what kinds of long term side effects can crop up from it? For me, the risk of the unknown was far greater than a heap of poo. I'm hoping that since DS has had it, and apparently you can only get it once, that he won't bring it home if there is an outbreak at his daycare. However, if he does, then we'll deal with the consequences.

I also wouldn't have gotten the hep b immunisation but since they chuck them all in with the whooping cough one, I had no choice. When Eden was about 2 weeks old, we went to the mall and saw the manager of a men's store there - his grandson was 2 weeks old as well and had just been admitted into the hospital with whooping cough. They didn't know if he was going to live or die. I didn't want that to happen to Eden, especially if I knew there was an outbreak in the area. So, we are choosing which immunisations to give her - in terms of the risk and likelihood of catching it - if that makes sense?

    oh hello my lovelies

well it has been a while for everyone in here. kinda nice to just talk crap again. what a terrible few weeks for everyone.

i just want to say first off- not asking for any sympathy or anything, but i wish i could have done something more for mikayla. I was looking on the net at belly pics when preg and came across pics that looked exactly like mikaylas. i had a really tough time deciding weather or not to approach her about it as i thought something may be wrong and didnt want to cause trouble. so we chatted a bit about it, her saying she just didnt want to tell anyone and felt wierd about putting it off. she used these pics as hers and kept acting as though she was pregnant, but had really lost Hannah. i said to her to deal with it in any way she needed to. i think she mentioned after a while that she told ali and natty. i really wanted to talk to you girls about it, but she had asked me not to say anything. i respected her wishes. did i do the right thing? should i have said something to get her help? i re read over them the other day when i heard of her passing- it was sort of my connection to her, and thought she sounded angry. the way she wrote about it. i should have seen that. god i wish i could have done more.

im sorry to rant, i just feel so helpless in losing her

i think i need to come back another time to post happiness. it doesnt seem appropriate right now

    Oh sarah

Its hard losing anyone to something as helpless as someone taking their own life. But people often put on a mask you know - and you can't help what they don't let you see. Nobody would have guessed she was going to take that path in life, not even her husband I would imagine. Its unimaginable, unthinkable - so you don't think of it. Its not an option in your mind because, well, because you aren't them - you know?

What a lot to have on your shoulders though. Talk, talk and talk. Keep talking and get it all out, because if its eating you up inside mate - its not healthy for you - or your family.

    Much love xxxxx

Sarah, of course you did the right thing. You were a friend to her and u respected her wishes. She would have been upset if you hadn't. I'm a bit confused.. When did she actually lose Hannah? She never told me, she just said it was "some time ago". How did her other friends not find out? (on FB) Do you think she had many friends? It's just on FB there is just us and a couple of others. Sorry about all the questions but I can't stop thinking about her...

    Hi Girls..

Billy i will def come see you if we go to NZ!

Archie has worked out a way to get me out of bed quickly.....
    1) Pee about 300 times during the night so nappy leaks all over the bed and mummy.
    2) When mummy kindly removes soaked nappy and clothes and lovingly gives you a cuddle do a MASSIVE poo all over her, and the remaining area of the bed that isn't already peed on.
    3) When mummy lays you in your bassinette and places warm blankets over you to keep you warm while she removes soiled bedding, promptly do another wee allover bassinette and warm blankets.

    ............ Thanks Archie.

Sooooo i will be washing all day. Also going to see my dad again! Apparently he didn't have a very good first night at home cos he was in quite alot of pain. Poor daddy.

Hope you all have a good day xxxx

Natty - Eden only rolls tummy to back (she's a tummy sleeper)

Kymmy - hahahahaha!!!! Ahhh gotta love that. No nappy leaks here since we've gone full time cloth, I've been putting her in specific night nappies though - she fits into a medium now so thank god for that!!!

Hope your dad is ok xx

Mr I goes back to front & he's a back sleeper - he can go the other way (and did that first), just doesn't most of the time.

Kymmy - I had a night like that the other night. He peed on our bed, missed the towel he sleeps on (to catch the spew), got the sheets & underblanket so I had to get DH up and change everything.

I know you shouldn't compare your children, but DS1 very rarely poo'd during the night, whereas Mr I poos, then once I've changed his nappy poos again & once I've changed that one poos again. I sat up for 45 mins at 2am waiting for him to finish before I changed him last night! Then he'll poo at least 6 times during the day. When I comment to DS1 that Mr I is a pooing machine, he says 'no he's a washing machine' Bizarre child.

Currently Mr I is rolling around the floor with no nappy on happy as a lark!

Hi Girls - I'm a bit behind again, Amelia is pretty clingy at the moment so haven't got a lot of chances to get on.

Hi Sarah - oh my, please don't feel bad, you definitely did the right thing. I just went back through to my facebook messages with Mikayla and I think it sounds like I got a similar email to you. She was talking about the loss of Hannah and what happened etc., she also sounded quite angry and talked about how she understood why she lost the first one but not the second and third and she she just hoped and hoped it wouldn't happen again. This was back in October so not sure when she actually did lose the bubby, did she say? I didn't realise she was using someone elses belly pics, where was she getting them from? That's just so sad. And I'm with the rest of you, I didn't realise she only had us as friends really on FB, my goodness, that's really sad. Girls, do you think maybe there could've been some depression there already? Just a thought. I can't understand why she wouldn't have a load of friends, she's so beautiful and sweet. At the end of the day you did what she asked and you respected her wishes, I think it would've been wrong to tell us.....she asked me the same and I didn't say anything either, only because she asked me not to. What else were we to do.

Hi Kymmy - I hope your daddy is feeling better today, what an ordeal he's been through. I'm really wanting all this negative crap to go now, it's time we had some good news so here's to him feeling better SUPER SOON. xx

Hi Everyone else, hope you're all well.

AFM - Amelia is doing better today, napping a fair bit, better than the last 2 days of whinging and wanting to be held all day, it's so exhausting. At least she's still sleeping well at night though so shouldn't complain. Had an argument with DH last night, first in ages. He went to bath Amelia and I asked him to take her amber necklace off, he couldn't find the join and got all cranky (he'd been asleep on the couch prior and woke up poopey pants), so I said, here let me help and he said, this is bullsh*t this stupid necklace and butt out I can do it myself. I was sooo angry so I looked him straight in the eye and said, you know what, I was only trying to help, don't wake up cranky and take it out on me and he said, I'm not cranky (in a really cranky voice lol) so I said, I HATE YOU right now and he just stared at me, went into the bathroom with Amelia and slammed the door. Then I heard him muttering something about me being stupid so I opened the door and said, that's ok ahole, I don't need you anyway, I have my daughter and that's all that matters. Then I felt bad but oh well, I didn't mean it of course, I was just furious - stupid thing to argue over but he really sh*ts me sometimes and this week I am in NO mood for his crap. lol Needless to say he left without saying goodbye this morning but do I look worried! We don't argue much but when we do it's usually pretty good ha ha.

Hi girls, i got my iPhone today so I am having a turn on it now! It's taking a bit to get used to but I love it now.

Al- hubbys can be a pain in the bum sometimes, it's alright for him to have a snooze on the couch... We are the same, hardly ever fight but when we do we make it a good one- silly buggers haha. You guys will have some make up sex tonight and all will be good

Hmmm, loving my new phone! I bought it 2nd hand on eBay but it is in great condition.

Hope you are all well, my mum turned up this arvo and said she is staying the night, thanks for the notice. We've had a few 'moments' but she is going home tomorrow so I think I can survive 1 night. I don't Mind if she stays, I just need some notice so I can prepare the house for her. Ho hum

    Love you all xxx

    Hi girls,
    Where have you all gone?

My kids are crazy today, Luke is acting like a psycho - I just sent him to his room for pulling Ruby's leg and screaming into both his sisters ears. Argh I could strangle him somedays, but then he comes out with something like this~

DS- Mum, can we go to the milk sheep?
    Me- What?
DS- Can we go to the milk sheep?
Me- What are you talking about? What is the milk sheep?
DS- You know, the milk baaaaaaa

Oh how I cracked up! Motherhood is a joy.

I have been really busy making clips, I am in the middle of making a FB page for them, I will let you know when its finished. Ive also been preoccupied with my iPhone, oh how I love my iPhone <3 haha

DS has just come out of his room and appologised to me and Ruby for pulling her leg. He said to Ruby that she can pull his leg if she wants. lol.

I put up some new pics on FB if you want to have a look, only a couple but they are just too cute.

Well, better go and get dinner organised - good old sausages and veggies. Not my favorite meal but its cheap, easy and Im guaranteed the kids will eat it, well the snags anyway.

    kiss, kiss, cuddle, cuddle

Hi Ubes - lol sorry but your post made me chuckle.....I love the joke and what a cute apology, you can pull my leg if you like, how hilarious! Make sure you remind her as I'm sure she'll be pulling his leg when she's older ha ha! Can't wait to see your clips, now all I need is for Amelia to grow more hair so I can use some!

AFM - went and had one of those fingerprints done onto a pendant for my necklace today, was much cheaper than I thought, $110 - I got a medium sized one so when I have another bubby the next one will be smaller and they'll fit into each other on the necklace. Funny though as Amelia didn't have much of a fingerprint and DH said, she has a bald finger like her head lol. If anyone is keen they are a franchise so I'm sure they have people in the Eastern States that do them as well. You can have pendants for necklaces, bracelets, key chains etc and in different shapes, I went the heart shape but they have a cute flower shape as well or you can have them like dog tags. If you're keen I'll send you the link via FB to their website.

Off to my sister's for dinner and a movie on their big screen tonight - I think we're watching that scary one that was at the cinemas a few months back, paranormal something I think........I love a good scary movie, even though they scare me ha ha. Have a fab night everyone and hope you're all well.

    Hi everyone

Alison - I hope it was a good movie, I haven't seen a new movie in ages!!! pmsl @ the bald finger - I've never noticed the kids fingerprints, I'll have to have a look tomorrow!! LOL

Ubba - how old is luke? Aricyn drove me mental today - whinge whinge whinge. By 5.30 all of them were whinging and I swear I wanted to leave the building.. LOL

Eden was pretty whingy today, but I think its cos her sleep got all messed up because we went and got a new stroller (woohoo), went and got me a new slow cooker (ahem), and then took the kids to the park, so her morning sleep was very interrupted.. poor bugger.

Went out last night with a few of the tassie girls (Sterla, Jahzara) and met up with Divvy - such a crack up!!! Was a good evening, had a couple of drinks - and its been sooo long since thats happened.

Ahh poor eden has a cold, she's just coughed up a lung, better go resettle.

Awww Mel you caved and changed your name back lol! Doesn't matter, we'll all remember it haha.
Luke is 4, he's been a tough kid to bring up let me tell you. Thank god Ruby was born a girl cause we only have room in our lives for 1 Luke. He can be such a good kid, helpful, kind, good manners but then he will change all of a sudden and be naughty, annoying, loud. Ahhh, I don't know, he's just my boy xx
Your night out sounds great, Im wanting to go to a meet-up but just a lil nervous

Natty glad your still around. What phone do you have? I got an app for my iphone called tapatalk. It makes navigating BB really easy. Hope V is being a good girl
