    no weight loss

Hi all, just been feeling really down about the fact that i haven't lost any weight after coming home from the hospital. Baby Harry is now 5 weeks old and i am exclusively bf. I lost 7 kg during labour and weighed myself when i came home - 83.5 BUT the scales have not budged! I have so much milk also- my boobs are massive and i leak all the time and have to express to get comfortable. I feel so disheartened cause everyone told me " ah you're gonna loose so much weight bf'ing
it all just drops off" NOT. I have just really started to watch my food and walk every day but im wondering if anyone else has experienced this?

I'd love to hear some experiences of weight loss after pregnancy.....

I don't want to put a dampener on your hopes, but I never lost any weight bfing. I thought the same thing as you when I started, but I did it for 6 mths (not exclusively bfing, but mostly bf) and didn't lose a kg without some effort on my part re: diet and exercise.
But you are only 5 wks into being a mum and bfing, so give it time. Try to relax and not worry about it, just enjoy your bub and think about it later.
As for your milk, thats probably adding to your weight too if you have so much.

    Hi Bea,
I'm in the same situation as you. Bub is going to be 7 weeks tomorrow and I still have 15 kgs to lose to get to my pre-pregnancy weight even though I'm exclusively bffing atm. I lost 5 kgs when I weighed myself when I came home from hospital (2 days after the labour) then another 5 kgs a couple of days later, but ever since then I've stayed the same weight. Oh, I gained about 25 kgs in total during pregnancy.

Now, weight loss is the last thing on my mind, because now I have acne to deal with (see my acne thread) I've lost the motivation to lose the weight, because my face is so disgusting. As soon as that is sorted (hopefully), maybe I'll be motivated again. Good luck with your weight loss.
