I went through the same thing. Jasmine suited her, but another name I thought suited her sooooooooooooo much better. I had so many second thoughts, but by about 4ish months I relised she is DEFINATELY a Jazzy Jazz Jasmine lol. I can't imagine her as anything else.

I love Evangeline! There is a song by Matthew Sweet called Evangeline and it is beautiful. If you can get your habds on it give it a listen.

One of my friends has an Evangeline and she is Evie for short. We have a Genevieve and she is Vievey for short so when they are together they are Evie and Vievey - it is very cute.

I think a lot of it comes down to the fact that we spend so long thinking about it and throwing so many names around, and then all of a sudden we have to pick one, and hope it is right, and hope we still love it later etc etc. Bit of pressure there when you think about it.

I felt the same way about DS name but not really becuase I didn't like it or thought we had made the wrong choice, but because I didn't feel like I was ready to settle on one name. It felt weird not to have to think about it anymore, and felt very final or something.

Next time I will take my time with it, but I dare say that I will feel the same. At least it goes away pretty quickly.

FWIW, and as others have said, she has a gorgeous name and in a few months time you will know beyond doubt that you made the right choice and she couldn't possibly be anything other than Evangeline!

Heaven - its funny you ask just now - it has literally only been in the last 2 wks that I have stopped calling her the other name in my head, and really thought that Evangeline suits her

I second Heaven too ... i feel so happy & relived at the same time for you SS

... It's a wonderful feeling when you start to get past those feelings of doubt as i too went through the same emotions with my daughter's name Cendrine ... often now i'm just so darn wrapt & soooo happy within myself that we chose her name as i couldn't imagine her to be anyone else other than a Cendrine

Once again i must say again to you SS ... Evangeline is just soooo BEAUTIFUL

I know my problem was that I'd imagined Riv with the name as a toddler, little boy, teenager, adult, old man...but I'd forgotten baby, and the name seemed too strong, and too...I don't know...for such a small thing! He's definitely grown into it though, and I'm sure he'll continue to do so. I'm glad it seems Evangeline is growing into her name too.
