Hi Sneakysparkle,

This is a tough one. Firstly- what does your DH think? Does he think the other name suits her better also? Or is he content with the decision?

I had the exact same thing with my boy. I absolutely love his name, but when I initially heard the name I thought it suited someone tall, dark and handsome. Now, my boy is handsome (he he)- but he has white blond hair and bright blue eyes!! The other name (my number 1 pick) would have suited him so much better but DH wasn't so keen on it. It took me until he was about 4 months old to look at him and not visualise the other name. Hearing people call his given name over and over has helped me to accept the name we chose. I don't know if i would be brave enough to change it at 11 weeks, but if DH had agreed with me before the 6 week mark, I would have changed it to my first choice in a heartbeat.
Sorry- not much advice there- only empathy. Perhaps you can kind of 'meditate' on the reasons why you chose Evangeline in the beginning. It may not suit her to a tee now- but they say we grow into our names- and Evangeline is a very unique, feminine and distinctive name that will help to define her as an adult.
