With DD #1 I was contracting away and DH was blowing up the pool with a hand pump (home water birth) then he starts compaining about how hard it was and how the pump was giving him blisters that were "really painful you know"!!!!!!!!!! until in the end it was taking so long with so much belly aching that i did it myself in between contractions!!
Then when I was 6 cm i wanted to push and so the midwife made me pant through the contractions to stop me pushing and DH started to pant to "help me" but he annoyed the hell out of me blowing in my face until I said "stop panting in my ****ing face"!!!
When I finally got to pushing and was ready to get in the pool DH disapeared! he comes back about 10 minutes later looking like he was off for a day at the beach saying that it took him ages to find his swimmers!!!

And just when you think it couldn't get any worse.....

With DD #2 she had been out of my body about 30 seconds after ages of pushing cos she was posterior, i'm still panting and sweating like a pig and DH goes "well that was easy, she just fell out"!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm having a doula next time.
