If you choose not to go on this principle, make sure that you and DH are willing to always have things strained in that relationship in future.. I didn't go to my brothers wedding due to something I strongly objected to, and our relationship has never been the same.. If I could turn back time, I would've accepted his wife's wishes for the day even though I totally didn't agree with them.
