I had an emergency cs so hadn't discussed my wishes with them beforehand. But it was still ok. DS was delivered., held up for us to see, checked by the paed then daddy cut the cord. After that he was wrapped and placed on my chest. I found it hard to hold him and was weak so someone took him when I asked (as much as I wanted to hold him). He went to SCN while they fiddled around with me for a few hours, that part wasn't routine though so doesnt apply to you Daddy went with him. When I went to recovery they brought him back and I was able.to hold him and BF.

Having time.on your side is a good thing. Discuss your wishes with your carers and hopefully you can have all or most of what you want. Good luck!
