Metformin isn't given to everyone though that has been diagnosed with PCOS as you need to be insulin resistent to receive it or have a weight problem as metformin really helps drop the extra kilos which are normally a result of insulin resistance.IYKWIM? I was only ever put on clomid not metformin as I don't have insulin resistence and clomid alone helped regualte my cycles. Provera will induce a bleed. And like Bin has said clomid is not readily available until you've had a heap of test done to find the cause of you not ovulating. Alot of women don't ovlate straight after stopping the pill. I'd probably use opk's to make sure your not ovulating as the body can get quite tricky when trying to pinpoint ovulation!It becomes quite the guessing game!
