I haven't actually read the research myself, just going by what my doctor friend tells me - I don't think I'd understand all the med-speak myself!

My friend tells me that the metformin should be stopped once I'm pregnant and the HCG takes over as the controlling hormone - although I am starting to see a lot of things that are starting to indicate that metformin throughout pregnancy is a good idea - mainly bits and pieces I have read on the FF forums, which seems to be the way things are heading in America.
