My PCOS was a problem when TTC and this was confirmed by my IVF specialist in Sydney. We tried for over 14 months before I got a referal to a specialist. He confirmed that my TTC chances were taken from the average for my age and due to PCOS down to about 5% success rate. When he gave me Clomid he said the success rate increased to 20%. Maybe our specialists have different ideas? Im going to ask him about this next time I see him.
I know people who have been given metformin without having insulin resistance to help regulate their cycle to try and fall pregnant and have succeeded I guess at a faster rate (eg less than 3 months) than someone who has PCOS with insulin resistance (took us 6 months after taking metformin and clomid together) I would be interested to read your research especially on Metformin as Metformin is a really controversial drug especially taking it while pregnant.
