Krys - you have really been in the wars lately! I agree with Snug, weigh in with your cast on and then when it comes off.

Snug - well done on your weekend. Unfortunately mine wasn't quite as restrained - I did drink slightly too much on Saturday and ate junk. However I did start spring cleaning the house yesterday so that would have burnt some calories.

Thanks for your motivation Mr S!

I have a sore throat and have been up for the last 3 nights with DD2 screaming for 2 hours straight so I think my gym workout today will be pretty poor as I feel like death warmed up. I will go though as I do need to weigh in. I will let you know how I go. BTW - I must be really dumb as I tried to do the Calorie King website and I couldn't work it out

    Hi Ladies,

Here I am 11 weeks since giving birth to dd3 and I have to lose this horrible spare tyre that I have aquired. My weight loss goal is 10kgs. I have the will to do this but I am finding it hard to get out and exercise. I have every intention to get up early to exercise but when it comes time to get up I am exhausted due to lack of sleep. Plus those afternoon sweet munchies keep misterously finding their way into my hands.

    Any tips are appreciated

Nice work, Nai! All going well, you'll be there in another week or two. Do you have further to go or is that the goal?

Welcome, Bek. Best tip I've got for avoiding the sweet afternoon munchies is to not have them in the house and try to replace them with fruit. You can't eat what's not there.

Cold today... thinking about going for a walk this afternoon but it's still pretty windy and I'm not sure my energy levels are picking up yet. Maybe tomorrow.

    tips in brief

drink plenty of water to find out how much water your body needs divide you body weight by 30 and that is how many litres your body needs per day I learnt this recently from another thread
walk 50-60 mins a day or build up to that
    change your diet around
    dont eat after dinner
when you get all stressed out dont go the fridge go for a nice walk instead you will come back feeling so much better
when you know you are going to have alot of not so good food counteract that by going for a longer walk say and extra 20-30 mins at least you shoudl not put on weight in the morning
if/when you do fall of the rails just get back up and move on

I know it is xtra hard when you have a broken sleep but you will find that the energy levels will rise rember the 1st day is the hardest day

those are my tips all the best

Wow Mr Squidipa - that is a fabulous weight loss! Well done. I'm going to have to calculate how many litres of water I should be drinking now.

Nai - well done on the loss! You've done well losing 11.4 kilos so far! I hope you're feeling better soon. What part of CK did you have trouble with?

BekZ - Hi there!!! For the afternoon munchies - i'll have a banana or an apple, and when i really need a sweet treat -about 5 marshmallows. I've also started having some Dark Chocolate (I'm following the Flat Belly diet) I find that I only need one square ( i nibble on it ) because it's so rich. Good luck!

bw - it's great that your friends are so supportive. Hope you got to go for your walk.

afm - I had a an 800gram loss, so down to 68.1 I've lost a total of 4cm off my waist, and 3 off my chest and hips, which is exciting. I'm finding though, that now I've got my digital scales, I keep getting on them. I think I'm going to have to make myself wait until check -in each week.

Hi G - Yeah, my check in on Calorie King is Monday morning. I'm hoping to get to 65kilos to start with, and then I'll go from there. I'd like to get into a size 12 comfortably. Size 14 is too big for me at the moment, and size 12 a little tight - unless I'm wearing my gutsuckers

BW - do you want me to send you down a scarf? I will! Go for a walk, even if it's only a quickie. The sunshine WILL be good for you. I have beanies and overcoats too, if you need them. No spare raincoat, but I can arrange one!

Jazah - awesome loss! 800g is the stuff I dream of!

Mr Squid - look at you, the all new personal trainer! I love it. Great tips. Where's your thread that you posted, a while ago? If you find it, BekZ, there's all my very best tips in it. But Mr Squid pretty much covered the lot, especially that if you fall off the horse (or exercise bike ) you just gotta get right back on it!

I didn't weigh in today - started work super early, and in my sleep-deprived haze put my shoes on before I went downstairs, and my cycling shoes are heavy as! I will weigh in tomorrow, but don't expect more than 200g, if anything at all.

Krys I totally agree about the clubbing! It'st the only logical explanation because all the alcohol consumption would have been 'well' over 1200 cals lol

BekZ hello Mr.Suid our personal trainer has given you great advise good luck with your weight loss, I am aiming to loose about 10kg too (but more like 15 would be great)

SnugBug with all the working out you do I think you can have some chips once in a while. hehhehe

Everyone else well done on your weight losses (even with eating cupcakes Ginger) hehhee

AFM I was hiding in shame yesterday got on the scales and I was 72.4!!!!! which is only 400 grams lighter than when I originally started loosing weight! OMG talk about a kick in the bum. SO here I am fessing up about all those dinners out in the past week with family from Victoria... Hasn't done me any favors and I am totally disappointed with myself. Luckily I haven't given up (which many people would do in my situation). Expect to see some weight loss figures over the comming weeks.

I am having the crappiest worst horriblest stupidest day ever.

I locked myself in the toilet at work and had a big cry. BIG cry. Biggest one for quite a while, certainly biggest one I've had at work. Finally snuck out, told my admin I was leaving, and left. Went for coffee with DH.

Now going out to swim it off. Not going to emotional eat over it. Going to be strong.

Thanks for the welcomes and advice, especially Mr Squida.

Jaz - I hate being in that inbetween stage. I was inbetween a 12 and 14 before conceiving Eva and is such a pain. Now well I am definately a size 14 or more.

I went for a walk yesterday, nothing big just go out with the kids. Next thing is to weigh myself (scales are broken) and do some measurements.

I was doing so well not eating any naughty food yesterday until late last night I had a very tough day with the kids and Eva was feeding hourly. I finally got her down for the night then went straight to the cupboard and ate 5 biscuits. Talk about emotional eating!!!

Hey there everyone... i'm new to the weight loss thread but after bub #2 i have decided to bite the bullet and keep my weight loss journey going.

A bit of background: I have always been up and down with my weight, generally i was a FIT person with a big build and aslong as i played sport that was fine but as soon as i stop physical activity (no matter how well i eat) i gain large amounts of weight.
In Yr 12 i was about 120kg or more , at the end of year 12 i lost quite a bit of weight and managed to get back down to a size 14 but over the years have gone from 14 to 18 to 20 to 14 etc etc.

After DD1 i lost 25kg and got back down to around 90kg (obese based on BMI) then found out i was PG with DD2 i didn't put on as much weight with her but the hosp only weighed me around the middle of my PG and i was about 102kg.

    TODAY:
Weight: 96.3kg (according to shopping centre scales)
    Height: Roughly 5ft 10
    BMI: 31 = obese

I guess i just want to give this a real go, i don't want to end up like my mum and not want to go swimming with my kids because i don't fit into bathers, have to be on medication for pre-diabetes.
I don't want to worry about that, i want to be fit and healthy and be around to watch my kids grow up.

Sorry this is so long, will read through and try and get to know everyone a bit.

GL with your journeys and for mine.
Guess i better go and buy myself some scales soon and figure out EXACTLY what i'm going to do to keep this weight off.... any hints?
