nellnell: Welcome!! And now go out there and RUN!!! Hehehe
Thankyou.....and I took your wise words and did. I went out last night and ran for 30 mins with only a 30 second breather at the 16 minute mark. Considering I haven't done ANYTHING for 3 weeks I was glad I haven't lost too much of my base fitness. I'm heading out tonight as well, then going to a pump class tomorrow and Sunday I'm having off.

Winter - Thankyou. I know I can do it....just needed to go and do it. IYKWIM. I've also been doing some interval training as well. Shorter runs (1km at a time) and faster, then allowing recovery time. DH has a sports science degree and says this is the best way to improve fitness. So I'm planning on doing 2 runs a week (longer runs) then interval training once or twice, as well as a few core running exercises on my days off (lunges, squats, step ups etc).

Of course it's only my head preventing me from going further and further and it's interesting as I am relying on myself for motivation as I have always exercised in groups or with buddies. It's just not convienient at this stage in my life to rely on others to be an exercise buddy, so it's awesome that I've found you guys.

So what's this wonderful book called? Sounds inspiring.

Just read a few posts about push ups on toes - wow, you guys are awesome!!!
