Sunny my oldest BB friend again I'm so sorry about your friend.

school reunions hey, I would have loved to have gone to mine but it was interstate and a few hours via plane then a 6 hour drive only 4 weeks after DS was born so there was no way I could go. Have no idea when the next one would be. But hey it's a small town and isn't that what facebook is for? You get to see where everyone is at and what they look like without having to endure a mindless conversation with the ones that you secretly couldn't stand

Sorry I've been so slack with checking in girls.
Congrats to all who have lost weight or inches or are just generally keeping on top of things
Hope everyone who has been sick is feeling better and that you have been kind to yourselves
And Cherished, thanks for the amazing list! You're a total legend!
I haven't lost anything this week but I haven't gained either which is something of a miracle given that I had a week of dinner parties and eating out.
I've been run/walking 5km every second day and riding the exercise bike for 40 mins and doing the exercises from Denise Lewis' "Flat Tummy Book" on the other days. This feels really sustainable and I'm already running heaps more of the 5km than when I started a fortnight ago. Thanks Cherished - there's no way I'd be doing any of this without this thread!
Apart from the food blowout this week I've been pretty ok with food. I've been making veggie soup for lunch every day and having big salads with dinner. That feels really sustainable too as it's not too extreme a change.
Although I didn't lose any weight this week I'm still on target because I lost 2kg last week
That means I'm now 65kg with 5kg to lose to reach my pre-preg healthy weight of 60kg.
    60kg here I come!

Wow it's so hard to keep up, everyone is doing such an amazing job.

Sunny09 - i think there MUST be something wrong with the scales hun, maybe get some new batteries or better still splurge on some new scales , So sorry to hear about your friend.

Cherished - thanks so much for your hard work hun, your doing a wonderful job keeping us all in line

From now on i will try and keep with the flow of conversation and who is where, it's so much easier to stay motivated when you can feed off of everyone else.

STAY POSITIVE, WORK HARD & YOU WILL ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS.

AFM: Last night was fried rice (home made) and thai green chicken curry (packet ) - BUT i had a half serve of what i would normally eat, i use LOTS of stirfry veg but added more and halved the amount of oil i'd normally use.
I wanted something different to eat and it was really nice, i'm having left overs for lunch today and even though the weather is not looking favorable am still planning on my 3km walk (well unless it rains).
Didn't get on the exercise bike but DP and i walked the girls into the paddock and back, laid down and looked at the beautiful stars, doesn't sound like much but carrying a toddler and wearing gumboots really is a workout

Last night i had to do a run in gumboots as DD2 took off down the hill with her pram to see her dad on the motorbike (heart attack much) and thought it would be so much fun to do a ladies 'gumboot run' funrun

OK I weighed in this morning. The bad news is that I put on 500g. The good news is that I am starting to feel like my old sporty self instead of a middle-aged overweight desk jockey. Futsal was cancelled last night as the other team didn't show so I am really glad I went to the gym beforehand anyway. No gym today as DS is pretty sick and DH is too. But I am going to go for a road jog this afternoon - probably just 3kms. First jog since I got shin splints so am looking forward to seeing how it goes. Took my ipod to the gym yesterday and was really happy at how much more pumped I was. So will try the same this afternoon. Bye all!

haha Cherished I love your thread with me fallen of the wagon PMSL. I'm down to 72.7 woohoo. (my pre-preg weight was 73.5 so I'm under yeah but by 12weeks I was 71 so not back to my lightest preg weight yet) I definately haven't fallen of the wagon. I'm doing the Michelle bridges program and I've been sticking to those forums.

Sunny I too am sorry to hear about your friend.

Ausgirl your going to look great for your school reunion. Just what you need for that little bit of motivation.

krysalyss great news on feeling back to your old sporty self. Shame about the gain but hey thats just abit of water. A toilet stop and you would be down again

    BB soon

Hey girls, love the positive vibe goin on in here

I'm really pleased with how I did yesterday. Had soup for lunch and daal with rice for dinner. Did my Jillian Anderson Cardio Kickbox dvd while DD slept, DS seemed to find it pretty entertaining and still went to the gym at night. I did start to eat some chocolate in the afternoon and felt like I wouldn't be able to stop, so I threw it up to the back of the highest cupboard in the kitchen It's all DP's now!

I'm going to go buy a tapemeasure today, even though I haven't been losing weight I know my body is changing so I want to start taking cm measurements as well as weight. I took my measurements back in April but just with a paper measuring tape I had and that seems to have disappeared.

Off to yoga now, out to dinner with the girls tonight so I'll try to order as healthy as possible!

    Happy Friday everyone

MM great idea on measuring yourself. Do you remember your measurements from April? Would be great to compare and see how far you have come.

I just looked back and from the start of this thread I'm down 2.3kilos. So another 4.7kilos to go until my new goal weight (I'll look at it again when I get there) I'm hoping to get under the 70kilos in October intime for my DD's Baptism.

Krysalyss, yay for feeling sporty. If you feel good about yourself it's a great motivator.

Zavara, I love your workouts, you could write a farmgirls' fitness book with the calories for welly jogging and chook-pen cleaning all tallied up. It seems so much more interesting than running on a strip of rubber.

Wrena, it sounds like you're doing really well. You'll be running the full 5 km in no time.

Sunny, sorry to hear about your friend. Leftovers are my enemy too but I'm learning to stay away from them.

Nat, I don't think you'll be terribly wrinkly at your reunion. I'm still torn about mine. Not only the expense of getting back to the small town in QLD but I think that lots of them will be going out drinking and I don't do that so I might find myself spending more time with my sister than at the re0union (which doesn't seem too bad really lol)

Mildez, the Michelle Bridges program seems to work for lots of people but I'm not sure I would pay as much as she asks when I already pay for a gym.

AFM, I'm trying to ignore the mess the boys made in my lounge room and then I'm going to they gym later. Weights and body balance. I just had a look at a BMI calculator and it told me that I have a BMI of 24 and 25 is overweight. I have decided never to look at one again because I was feeling positive but now I feel kind of deflated.

sunny lol no you're not the oldest!

wrena no gain is just as good as a loss I reckon. I was the same this week and I kno wI"m expecting af sometime before next Thursday but I usually gain around ovulation not af so will be interesting to see. Hopefully we boht see a loss next week. Thanks for you thanks, but you are the one doing all the hard work

ZF hehehe yep if anyone slacks off they go int off the wagon section YUM home made fried rice, that's something I never make, can you share your recipe?

Krysalyss .5kg isnt' too much and I know what you mean about feeling sporty again as I've caught that bug too and already have so much more energy. Sounds like you'll be playing nurse for a day or too with you sick boys

Mildez great to hear from you hon and YAY on the weight loss and 72.7kg's and being 2.3kg's down. How are you likein ghte MB program?

Onyx is that BMI calculator right? if you're 56kg's you height must also not be too high?
MM love that willpower with chocolate!

AFM I'm loving the Noom calorie counter app on my phone! SO easy to keep track. I'll probably bo offline for the rest of the day and tomorrow and Sunday actually as I'll be getting ds's 1st birthday party organised YAY So excited about it!

    Hi Ladies

Sunny, so sorry to hear of your friends passing

Wrena, I consider you to have had a successful week if you have been wining and dining and managed not to put on any weight.

ZF, sorry but I had to lol at the thought of you running downhill in gumboots chasing your pram wielding daughter ANd I agree with Onyx, your workouts do sound a lot more fun than just punding the pavement or treadmill, and you get to kill 2 birds with one stone too!

Kryss, yay for feeling like your old sporty self. It really helps to be in the right headspace doesnt it!?

Mildez, how do you find the Michelle Bridges program? Any handy tips you care to share with us?

Munchkin Mumma, good on you for throwing the choccie back in the cupboard, totally sounds like something I would do!

Onyx, good on you for getting out to the gym! I also must wonder about your height given your size 6 bod

Cherished, thanks for doing such an awesome job with the list, its looks great! Will miss your posts over the weekend, but enjoy your boys first birthday party. And if you dont see this til after, I hope you and he both had a fab time!

Afm, trying to be extra good today food wise, as we had a little baby shower at mothers group yesterday, and I indulged in a few banned substances (still no lollies or choc though!). So on food rations today to make up for it, and a nice long walk after work tonight. I am really loving my headspace atm, I have found that place where my mind and body both are on the same page, and as much as I hate exercise, I wake up and think about what I'm gonna do, and at what time. And with food, I dont even really think about junk anymore which is great cos i was such a lolly gobbler and the sugar just made me crave more and more. Anyways, I'm rambling! Hope everyone has a great weekend, and manages to stay on track. We can all do this girls

krysalyss - YAY for feeling sporty, stick with that attitude and you will do so so well.

Mildez - how are you finding the MB challenge? Keep up the great work hun.

munchkin_mumma - sounds like your doing well, good on you for throing the chocolate where it couldn't yell out to you How was your dinner - it's nice to get out and have a night with friends.. sometimes it's good to just order what you feel like too rather than what you THINK you should be having.

Onyx - glad you like my workouts - wonder how i could go about working out just how much of a workout it is
Don't feel deflated hun, use that number to your advantage, spin it around and say I AM UNDER THE OVERWEIGHT LINE not "i am just udner" YOU ARE UNDER

cherished - i thought fried rice was hard but it's so easy and yummy when you make it at home, will pop the recipe at the end of this post.
Might have to look at that Noom one.
Have fun this w/end and don't worry about anything you eat you'll be running around so much i'm sure it will counter balance

Manhattan - i was giggling to myself too don't you worry. Good on you for being in the right frame of mind and finding that balance.. i'm sure it will work well for you.

AFM: having leftovers now for lunch, girls in bed then outside to hang some washing, fold some washing, vac the car, walk down the hill and water some plants then might sweep and tidy up the front yard
Did a little walk this morning but it was so so windy the girls were all rugged up but i don't want them getting sick before Dora tomorrow so only a little over a km in 15min BUT any walk is better than NO WALK right?

    Fried Rice:
Cook rice to about 3/4 cooked (i boil), remove, rinse then sit in a strainer to 'dry out' for a couple of hours.

In a wok/pan cook some bacon (or ham), chopped onion, garlic, snow peas then some frozen mix (peas, corn carrot - or use fresh if you like)
Add some sweet soy sauce to taste then slowly start folding through dried rice - add more sweet soy sauce as required.
Cook eggs in another pan, cool then dice to stir through.
EASY & SOOOO YUMMY - you can control the amount of oil, what veggies you like or don't like and the amount of soy sauce etc aswell.

I'm not going so well with the exercise component of the program (burn 500cals 5days a week, 1day off and 1 day burn 1000) Monday I did 440, Tuesday 500, Wed 75, Thursday 200 and today 750. The diet part is good. I'm trying alot of healthy food I never thought I'd ever eat. Getting alot of nice healthy recipee's that are low calories (around 300) so I will definately use some of them in the future to maintain my weight when I hit my goal weight. I have basically paid for the use of the forum which is really good as everyone is doing the same thing so its great to beable to ask advice on calorie burning, how to cook the meal, workouts etc. Obviously I can on here also except for the cooking. It is costly $200 for the program. The mindset lessons I'm not finding helpful as I am normally very motivated and I know what to do anyway and am pretty good with it. I'm loving the education I am getting about healthy living (combining both strength training and cardio as well as the nutritional advice on food that are good for you etc)

ZF sounds like you did heaps of exercise around the house without even going for the walk. Way to go.

Cherished OMG your little man is almost 1 already. Where did the last year go?

Bad bad bad 2 days food wise and not sure i'm going to be getting out for walks this week.
Had Dora Show yesterday, tiny breakfast no lunch then KFC for tea then today had IL's over - no breakfast, meat & salad rolls for lunch then cheese, crackers & kabana.

I have asked to be banned from wed for a week.. got a few things i need to get done and right now i'm not exactly doing them to the best of my ability so i might ask HotI to come in with my details on thurs and then i will be back after that

Oh ZF, weekends can be so hard can't they. I haven't had the best weekend, but I did make a few good choices that I am proud of. Last night I had a subway salad sandwich while DF had fish and chips...BUT I did have ice-cream afterwards. At least I didn't have both this time. My dinner with the girls was great. We went to Hans Cafe and I had a prawn curry with steamed rice. It didn't feel too unhealthy, but I know it would have had coconut milk in it which is fattening, and you just never know how much oil they use. We went to San Churros afterwards *droooool*, I had a hot chocolate but didn't eat anything! Although those of you who have had a hot chocolate from there will know its pretty much just like drinking melted chocolate!
I went to they gym today, but it was a half hearted effort really. Well here's to a new week.
Hope you are all well. ZF, I hope you get everything done during your break, see you when you get back

    Hi all

Is it too late to join in? I'm finally commiting to losing weight & regaining some fitness, strength & flexibility. Apparently I am 20kg more than my 'ideal' weight but I thought I'd break it into smaller goals. We going away in November and I'd love to drop at least one dress size by then, which should be about 6kg. I'm currently 95.5kg I'm tall but still. I dont feel comforrable and having been pregnant so much in the last 2.5 years, I have a prize winning mummy tummy I'd love to shrink. Comfort eating between losses also hasnt helped. I'd love to get my waist below 80cm but it seems so unrealistic.

An upside of exercise is it gets me out if the house and the endorphin rush helps my mood. Today I did my first session of Couch to 5k just using an app. I did 3km in 30min. I used to be able to run non stop for an hour but I have to start somewhere. I also still have mild SPD which I dont want to aggravate.

I'll need to work out strength & flexibility options to add to the cardio. I figure yoga 2 times a week to start would help me ease into it. That would give me 5 training days. I dont want to over commit or I just wont do it. Having somewhere to feel accountable may help me stick to my plan.

Another health goal I'd like to meet is getting to bed before 10:30. I'll start tomorrow
