Thanks for posting this Heaven. I agree with Willow that crying in babies shouldn't be seen as a negative thing all the time. Sure if bub is distressed, then do whatever it takes to calm them, but my DD will sometimes cry when overtired, and then there really isn't anything I can do but hold her until she calms.

I don't know if I'd go so far as to say crying is necessary for healing the body, but rather it stimulates the baby's natural processes of calming themselves (i.e. endorphins). This isn't anything revolutionary, and I am not sure I would call it a parenting style either.

I am impressed though that the author is trying to define a style of parenting between AP and CIO methods...I think many of us fall in this gap and call ourselves gentle parents, or aware or instinctive parents.
