Yeah D. I think you're right. It's more about your attitude and actions. Time out could be a nasty punishment if implemented in a harsh way.

Laranna- I was the same. The book really helped us regain calm in our house.

So I havnt heard from anyone who disagrees with time out. Looking for all opinions here....
