Hi i had gd first diet controlled then on insulin but i just noticed you said you are eating a lot of carbs these would effect your sugar levels as our bodies turn them in to sugar I didn't have to cut then=m out completely you just swap white bread, pasta ,rice, to brown and eat plenty of fresh veg chicken and eggs and fruit except oranges and grapes only eat one orange or a small handful of grapes as there contain a lot of sugars also. by cutting them out completely you might start to get keytones which aren't good for the baby when your pregnant
