joralyd, I had a sizing scan at 34 weeks, then I had CTG's every 2nd day after 38 weeks (because I didn't want to be induced).

yeah I had the sizing scan at 33 weeks (baby was 2.4kg) and the CTG is weekly but I'm not on insulin and i'm having a C/S at 39 weeks so maybe that's why unless they find something wrong in the CTG... Do you know what it is they're looking for like does babies heart rate potentially slow down or something or higher risk of still birth maybe??

They are looking for any signs of distress. Apparently the still birth rates for GD mums is higher, but there have been no proper studies done and all data is sourced from studies of Type 1 mums who have higher risk pregnancies with slightly higher rates of still births and other problems with the babies if the sugars aren't controlled during the pregnancy (especially the first trimester) as BSL are harder to control for Type 1 mums (someone correct me if I am wrong).

My bub was sized at 2.6kg at 34 weeks and was born 3.6kg.
