I told a chick I am expecting #5 on FB last night... He next status update was 'xxx Reckons , Some mother's need to learn how to swallow!!!!'... I know she was directing this at me.... I tried to take it light heartedly, but it's been bugging me since

    LIGHTHEARTEDLY?!

Fark, thats beyond bloody rude. I think I would have been very annoyed. And I'd probably give her a piece of my mind. What you do in your home, and how many kids you have is NONE of anyones business. Grrrr this makes me mad!!!! Lemme at em

THANK YOU!! I am so glad that me feeling upset is justified... I am feeling horrible about this pregnancy as it is... feeling sick coupled with a very unplanned pregnancy is really making it tough. Then I get comments like this... I feel like bawling!

That is so rude! i love the fact that she couldnt say it to your face but can let u know what she thinks publicly!
If people think that they're obviously not good enough to be your friend. So long as you and DP and all your littluns are happy thats all that matters.
Again that's so so so rude
    Feel better

Go post on her page & say...
'OMG I think it might be twins!! I'm so excited! Think of the money!!'
(I'm not in anyway suggesting you are after money! Just thought it could be amusing)
FWIW - She's a cow & I would avoid her in the future if possible.

    That is so un-called for.

And you know what Tan? She is jealous. AbsoluteLY jealous!

I would say something to her-- but either way, smile and walk away with your head held so much higher than hers. You have a happy and loving family and I bet she doesnt!

It my friend had said that, she'd be a friend no more. That would have made me so mad !! You have every right to be upset Tanya.

WOW, that's really really really CRASS!!!! You don't say that sort of stuff about a friend, even if they only meant it jokingly. I would be saying something to her about it cause that's just not on. And not only that, people are going to wonder who she's talking about and if you didn't want it completely public yet, then she has to respect that too.

I must admit to chuckling at similar comments from friends of mine about my 4th PG when I was talking to them but I knew they were said in jest.
Do you think it's said to stir or a bit tongue in cheek? I have certain friends (and rellies) who I can talk dirty too and it's all very light hearted so if it came from one of them then it wouldn't bother me. Others it would.

Definitely ask her what she meant by it and that it upsets you for her refer to you like that.

Oh Tanya, why on earth should you take this light heartedly - that person needs to pull their head in! I am sorry that people aren't being supportive of this wonderful event in your family!

I wouldn't call her a 'friend' just someone I know... and I would expect this to come from her, cause she is...hmmm... well not very classy.

I dunno.. I might just leave it and if anything eles is said I will just delete her (afer letting her know)... no loss to me!

Tanya, she is just jealous and probably doesn't think before she speaks. I think you are a very lucky woman indeed to have such a beautiful big family, I think having a big family would be just so wonderful. I didn't meet my DF until 3 years ago, that's just life I suppose!!

Tanya - So sorry hun that you are starting to get comments like that. I know it can be hard to ignore such comments, as I know what you are going thru. I only just recently had No.5. I used to get, Ohhhh, so you wont be having anymore after this one will you? Or Was it planned? etc. Honestly everyone IRL didnt even congratulate me on my pgcy. I had also had a m/c before that pgcy by a couple of mths and I would get ohhh it is too soon. I hated the fact that I used to feel like I had to justify me being pg and why I would even consider having another one. How it became anyone elses business apart from DH & I is beyond me. It was as if they were going to be raising the next baby or something.
Anyway Tanya, just know you arent alone and this baby of yours is a true blessing, be happy and enjoy your pgcy and look forward to welcoming your new little bundle into the world and your wonderful family in around 7mths time. DOnt let anyone make you feel bad about having a big family. A big family is wonderful.

Congratulations hun on your pgcy... hugs

OMG I would be so angry about that, for goodness sake isnt it YOUR choice as to how many children you have, geeze if you wanted 10 its not for anyone else to say anything about,

an opinion is one thing but being rude is another, I think I would just delete her if she does anything like that again she is not worth it seriously
