It's like I sabotage myself so that I can blame myself if we can never have a baby and I don't understand it because I know deep down I want to be able to say I gave done everything I can.
Can anyone give me any advice on their mental battles with weight loss.
that is exactly how I feel!! I know I sabotage myself! I just don't know why - i think it's because I'm scared that I won't be able to do it - so at least if I don't try, I can always say "well, I didn't really give it my best shot"... crappy excuse really...

I think the mental battles are the main contributers to weight loss to be honest - I'm a comfort and boredom eater, and i eat out of habit (i.e sitting in front of the telly etc).

I have always found the most helpful thing was recording my exercise - I have a chart that I put on the fridge, and I can actually see which days I am exercising and which ones I am not. I don't know if there is a way you can share documents in this place, but I'd be happy to share my proforma with others if they are interested.

I have planned menu's as well as had a food diary - and both have helped - it's something I need to get back into - it's also something that it unrealistic to do forever! So I've had a 6 month break from the last one - I guess it's now time to do it again for the next few months to kick start the weight loss again.

so I'll do a menu plan tomorrow night and weigh in monday morning to start again - hopefully it will work, and I can drop another ten.

good luck everyone :-)
