Fight the good fight, for yourself, for your little ones to be, but mainly for yourself.
Yesterday at the grocery store a guy in his 40's 50's dunno, old and pretty unpleasant looking was filling his cart with nothing but potato chips (crisps whatever) and cookies and he had the nerve to look at me funny over his stomach the size of a house?
Don't be him! junk food is called junk foood for a reason, it's empty calories. Sure you can have it as a treat if your nutritional needs are met, but having tracked calories for a year and watched what I've eaten, and worked hard to meet my daily nutrition needs I can say from experience that the body is really efficient, it doesn't need junk food, it needs healthy food.
Keep it up! Every bit you do for yourself is good, when you backslide onto your backside, don't beat yourself up. Recognize your failure and do better!
The other day I was 100 calories over, bad me, but...but I did meet my potassium for the day! Granted I had sweet potato at all three meals and a whole huge serving of a veggie curry and an additional serving of 100 grams of broccoli. It's possible.
Kerbear, this is going to sound super silly to you, but go on have a laugh, I still bite my nails. I'm addicted to it, I've been trying to stop since I was 6, and yep, addictions are hard to break. Yours is a really reall really really very important really super important one to break. Really! Gosh I want to put in a dozen more reallys in there.
Fight it!!!
Use the money to buy yourself flowers, talk to your doc about getting involved with a real medical therapy help session whatever thingy ma bob (ok I'm a little frustrated here so my brains not working right I'll explain it all later). I'm sure you know all the stuff about how bad it is for you and how your body starts to change for the good even a week after quitting. That willpower, quitting cold turkey, is the most successful way to quit long term. I'm sure you know it all already and me repeating any of it just sounds condescending but do it! Fight it! I'm cheering for you!!!
