    Hey Pollyanna,

This will be my second, my first was a nighmare,so I'm dreading it too. I just had a cyst removed last time (8cm) but it took 4 hours, I woke up with a pelvic drain, had lost a lot of blood and was not allowed to go home till the next afternoon. My bp was non existant so every time we attempted a trip to the loo to get me moving around I'd nearly pass out and my drain site would spring a leak and I'd be soaked in blood - was not pleasant.

I was in a LOT of pain, mainly pelvic pain but had a massive dose of shoulder tip pain too which lasted a good week. I was in bed for the better part of 1.5 weeks. I couldn't go to the loo (esp no. 2s - sorry, tmi) for 6 weeks after my lap without excruciating pain. Even eating was painful! LOL. Had two weeks off work and my mum/MIL had to practically move in to help look after my DD who was 16 months at the time. She's now nearly 2 but I'm still going to need help this time I think and my mum can't come down (she's having surgery too - spooky!!).

But I agree with you - no matter how bad it is we have to do it. I will not leave this cyst to do the damage the last one did. We also want to know if anything else is going on to prevent me falling prg because I haven't had any probs in the past (have had 2 pregnancies) and everything looked normal at the time of my last lap (May 06) so we are kind of at a cross roads. My FS thinks i may have adhesions and scarring from my last surgery. Worst part for me will be waking up to hear the verdict - IVF or not.

Anyway, that's enough rambling from me.Good luck sweetie!!! I will be thinking of you and look forward to hearing how you went.
