Questions about Clomid

Mmm so you are playing the waiting game now then, that's the worst part about the entire process! Taking your temp at an earlier time will definately make a difference so it could very likely explain the dip & so could the interupted sleep patterns too, so fingers crossed that's what it is? What was your temp before normally before you had the rise after ovulation? Sending out babydust!

Morning evertone:
Well I have POAS 9 times and got 9 positives with them all getting darker and darker.
I had a BT this morning and will get the results this arvo

I used a fantastic acupuncturist for the last 8 weeks, once a fortnight and I totaly believe it is him that helped us this time.

Nic I would strongly reccomend that you see him. He is in Halls Head and is brilliant. Let me know if you want his details. It isn't expensive either. $80 initial and $50 every time after that. My private health paid for nealry all of it so I was only out of pocket $17 each visit.

I will keep you guys posted as to how the BT results turn out

On my god Bee that is soooo exciting, is it too early to say congratulations because it sounds like a sure thing to me, im so excited for you guys! So when do you get the results back? I also used a accupuncturist & naturopath as well whilst we were TTC & I agree with you that the results were overwhelming. We tried for 18 months with various medications & then for the month leading up to my last round of clomid & also during I started the accupuncture & naturopathy & I fell pregnant that month, so I also highly recommend it for anyone having fertility issues. Well congrats again & let us know definately when you get your results back?

Stejan: Thanks, I totally feel like I'm on the path to success, and (although it was the most painful and heavy period EVER) AF was the first step!

I am currently on Day 4 of Clomid and I am finding it really hard to manage. I feel like I'm getting an horrific flu, achy, throbbing headache, I'm exhausted and Feel like I have a fever for most of the day. I'm taking it at night (I heard that's better) and I am still finding it bad. Is this normal? I can't remember feeling like this last time I took it, but it was 3 1/2 years ago. Sorry, to rant, I just fell so aweful! As long as it works, hey?

Well i had a ****ish day found out my sis is pregnant today. i am really happy for her but cant help but feel abit jealous kinda a slap in the face if you know what i meen.

So excited, Sorry I didn't post sooner, had to tell the parentals and then the in-laws which are all exstatic.

My level are all very very good at 12DPO my HCG is 69 and Progesteron is 89.
They want me to have an ultrasound in 2 weeks (the week we get back from bali) to see how many heart beats we have as they think we might have twins.

BEE!!! Congratulations!! You are the first with a BFP since I joined the forum, and it's so exciting to see someone have success!!! Wonderful, wonderful!! (I can't remember, and I don't want to look that far back, but how long have you been trying? Which cycle of clomid was this for you?)

Bec - I never noticed that my periods were that bad with the meds, but I was only without one for about 3 months before I started taking Provera to induce it...as far as the clomid goes, I never felt sick on it, but I did have the terrible hot flashes. I would get them a little during the day, but horribly at night! I would wake up completely drenched in sweat...and kick all the covers off! Usually I am a pretty cold person who likes to snuggle under the blankets, but definitely not while on clomid. I did notice that the hot flashes stayed with me for a time afterward too....I started clomid on cd3 and took it until cd7, and I would say I was still having hot flashes at cd15.

As far as I go...my temp was down again today at 97.7. Again though I took it about and hour and a half to two hours earlier (my schedule has changed, and I will be taking it earlier). To answer your question Kell, before my temp spiked above 98.0 after ovulation my temps jumped around quite a bit:

It's so erratic that it's really hard for me to tell anything...I have been having some lower back pain and my breasts (especially nipples) are still really sore...I guess this could be a sign of AF or maybe not. With my temps the way they are I'm trying not to get my hopes up!

Thanks Stej, This is my 3rd cycle of clomid and I secretly increased the dosage myself from 50mg to 75mg (1 and a half tabs).

Don't give up on it. this is also my first cycle using alternative therapies (acupuncture) and I swear by it. I have also been taking metformin for my PCOS and had a break from trying since November so I could lose 14 kgs.

I think a little bit of each all helped

So my temp jumped back up this morning to 98.2; however, I did not sleep well at all last night, and did not get even close to a solid three hour block before I took it. I was going in and out of sleep for a few hours before I finally took my temp...so I don't think I can count it much!

Also, I got roped in to some internet searches yesterday of women who got their BFP at nine DPO...I couldn't get it out of my mind (I'm 9DPO today) so I got a cheap dollar store test this morning. Very clear BFN...and that's fine because at least it is out of my system. Now, I am pledging to wait until CD32 as my dr advised and I hope I don't see AF before then!!!

I will say though that my husband has noticed that my boobs have gotten bigger...we were laying in bed last night and he rolled over to put his arm around me and was like "whoa" (mind you I'm extremely flat-chested usually so this is enjoyable to him!! ) Whether it's a little weight-gain, AF or maybe more I don't know, but they are noticeably bigger and still sore...Are sore breasts a sign of ovulation? I'm just wondering because the pain started about 4dpo and has continued since...that's really the only symptom though...hopefully I can stay busy at work for the next few days and try to keep my mind of this, and hopefully AF stays far far away!!

BTW, Kell, how have you been feeling?? How far along are you now?

Well I will say one thing that the first sign I had of my pregnancy other than the sore & swollen boobs was sleeplessness, I was sooo tired all the time but I just couldn't fall asleep & when I did it was interupted sleep so it sounds very promising, one of my friends said the same thing that in the very early stages of pregnancy she only had the lack of sleep as a sign! I know you can get cramping during ovulation but im not sure about sore boobs, even if you did have sore boobs from ovulation then im sure it still wouldn't be ongoing? Well fingers crossed that you also have some great news like Bee Yeah im feeling fine at the moment, still a little more tired than I was pre pregnancy but definately better than I was in the first trimester & I still get some headaches too but other than that im ok. Im 16 weeks in 2 days so it's coming along & im hanging for my next scan at 19 weeks so that I can make sure everything is ok. I have got quite a pot on me now which is strange because I had a flat stomach before but it's getting quite big already, although im only 5 foot 1 inch so it probably looks worse than it is & i've put on a few kgs everywhere else which im not a fan of but I guess I have to suck it up, hehe. So when do you get to do your test?

Kell - I am supposed to test on cd32 which is in 6 days, and after my bfn this morning I am going to wait until then. Boobs are definitely still sore today, and I have never heard of sleeplessness as a sign of pregnancy, but I absolutely could not fall asleep last night. I finally did around midnight then I woke numerous times throughout the night and was wide awake completely at 7am...maybe that's a good sign!

I also noticed today that I have had a lot of creamy cm, a little bit of cramping today, and I have been getting heartburn after I eat a lot...To be honest I work full-time and am also a full-time graduate student so really a lot of this could be stress...I guess no matter how much I try to overanalyze things I am completely in the waiting game, and just have to wait to know for sure!

I have been reading all your posts and i seem to be in a similar position to most of you. TTC after coming off OCP 12 months ago. No AF at all. Have had round 1 of Clomid 50mg, according to blood test no 'o' however wondering if it could have happened later due to some signs (cm). Now on round 2, finished taking Clomid (days 2-6) on Monday night. An added challenge is my DH on nightshift.....! And i work full time during the day.

This is a great place to hear about everyone's experiences as in my world at home here i am the only person i know with this problem and TTC.

After not having a period for a year and a half and wanting desperately to conceive,
my husband and I went to an OB/GYN. He prescribed Clomid to us and it worked
on the first try! We were more than thrilled! No complications or side effects
came along while I was taking the drug. Now, we have a beautiful, healthy
1 1/2 yr old son named Nolan. Next month, we will be using Clomid again,
as prescribed by the same Dr and hopefully we'll be just as lucky!

Ally - Welcome! I have read about a lot of different people who started at 50mg of Clomid and didn't "o". My dr actually started me at 100mg on cd3-7, which I didn't know was unusual until I started reading more. I had a few side effects (moody, HOT FLASHES!!) but it wasn't terrible, and I'm pretty sure I did "o". This was actually my first cycle on it, and I'm currently on CD27...just waiting to test. I'm sure if your dose is increased you will "o".

Ginna - It's great to hear a success story, and on the first try!! I've been trying not to get my hopes up this cycle because it's my first cycle with clomid and I know it doesn't usually happen on the first try...but good luck to you with the next one!!

My temp stayed up this morning...98.0...and I think I can actually count this one. I slept really well last night, woke up this morning and took it right away....so I've come to the conclusion that I need to stop worrying about my temps because they are ALL OVER THE PLACE!! Haha!! I know all the threads I have read have talked about the killer 2WW, but this is just about agonizing....I just have to "Let go and let God" ...it'll happen when it's supposed to! (I just want to know either way!! )

I know what you mean about temps. I started trying to temp last week on CD3 and since then temp has gone up everyday since day 5 (clomid start day) by about .5c of a degree! I started at 35.4 and now am about 37.4. Becasue I have had those horrible hot flushes, I though it might be that, but no one else has mentioned it, so I don;t know! I think I might just give up temping this cycle and try again next time. Today I am going for U/S to see if any follies have decided to show up...
