I am so glad we asked for this forum to be made. We all need help in one way or another and Im so glad we have a site like BB to come too and help each other.
Kimberly. Never give up hope. I fell pregnant 3 times whilst my tubes were tied. I woke up from surgery (getting them tied) and cried my eyes out. I also didnt get the proper councilling and information before going through with my op. I would never had done it. Jed and I decided to get my tubes done as my youngest in Autistic and we thought we would be selfish if we had another child.
I dont think its anyones right to tell us how many children we should have or yearn. I felt like something was coninuously missing from in me and that I was hollow and empty. I realise I have 2 beautiful boys but there was still that little 'something' that I needed.
Carazymum2 - I pushed and pushed the local hospital here in Shepparton (vic) to get an appointment. They told me that I had to wait 18 months to 2 years to have the appointment. I rang the Royal Womans Hospital in Melbourne. All they needed was a referral from my doctor. I got that for them in January 2005 and they gave me an appointment for the 12th of April 2005. 4 months, that was it. I went for the appoinment, explained why I wanted the reversal, had a blood test and hubby had to do a test to see if we were fertile. We then waited to hear for the op date, which came about June 2005. I was given the 4th of October. I had to go in 2 weeks prior to do paper work and another blood test. Then I came in on October 4th (tuesday) and went home Friday, a new woman. They tell you to wait 6 weeks until starting (or until your comfortable) and they say if your not pregnant within the first 12 months then you may have to consider IVF. They also said that it may take upto 6 months to fall.
Im sorry if my post has been long (sorry mod) but I wanted to tell you what was involved. Its worth every bloody minute. Storm has had a beautiful little man and IM now 18weeks+ pregnant. Its hard but I felt like a million bucks knowing that I would be that step closer to having that void filled in my life.
