i will be doing another normal delivery, fingers crossed that i get to that stage. I did a very succesful vbac with maddison and $hit did it hurt only because they wouldn't give me any pain meds, so i had to do it feeling every damn contraction then the midwife pulling her out. Its funny how you forget all about that and have another bubba. Just once i would like dh to feel exactly what i am going through, just once, then maybe he would be more sensitive to me especially at that time of the month. LOL Cheers kiya

em - so yourve had 2 c/s before hand????? Vy was my 3rd and I woke up and felt fine...honestly I had no pain what so ever. Im hoping that I have the same this time round.....c/s number 4 god im dreading it.
kiya - Oh how I am so jealous of you that you had a VBAC..I tried with Wilhelm but I went into early labour at 32 weeks with him and he tore my c/s scare internally...it was bruised for 1 1/2 years after I had him.
Luv - I just cant get you out of my head woman!!!! i wish I could give you my dame tubes!

Yep I had a c/s with Bryce and Seth cause I had a prolaps with Eden
so they said no more normal births for me what so ever to dangerous.
I dont mind I dont get any pain either unless someone makes me laugh
and getting up and down out of bed or a chair.
Old smelly PUS don't you just love being pregnant. OH wat a joy!!

hey everyone, not so good news. it is another ectopic and to make matters worse-when i was in on friday they were talking about cutting me open on my scar and removing the tube i just paid $10k to get fixed. anyway i went back today and started out a really nice dr then ended up arguing full on with this asian dr. Anyway i got to see the original dr who performed my laproscopy in april and he was very nice. mind you, at this stage i had the liasion officer with me, because they were going to turn me away if i didn't consent to what they wanted me to do. anyway, this dr watson saw how big this ectopic was 8x4 cm and was worried. praise God, my bhcg levels had fallen- which meant m/c and he said they could do the laproscope or go home and watch it very carefully. It turns out to be a massive blood clot and if the tube has grown with the pregnancy- it could have a major artery and bleed and bleed and bleed- so they would have to cut everything out maybe even the ovary! Anyway, i said i was okay and that i really wanted to keep the tube. He was so nice to me in the end that i asked him about another hsg after this has cleared up. I said that the tube must be partially opened to let the sperm in but not let the egg back down the tube. i asked him if he was interested in seeing it and he said yes he would do it for me. he said that the next 2 days are critical for me because if it ruptures it could haemorrage and i could die. i am still here and thank God for making this situation turn out better than it started. I didn't trust any of the drs up there cause they were the ones did the ligation. Imagine if i had just let them do what they wanted- i would have had surgery by now and lost the tube! I make sure i do alot of research before i let them make any decisions. I had to pray so hard cause they had said that if i wanted a choice i should go see a private hospital- it was only that dr watson actually looked at the blood results and saw that they had reduced significantly. he also said that he thought i would get away without having to have the surgery. yeh!!!!! i so don't trust them to do surgery! the reason they were giving me as to why they need to take the tube was because i had tubal surgery and this was 2nd ectopic and might happen again! they were just worried about money and litigation- typical public hospital- i said that i might now consider ivf. but get this he said that the egg can float up the tube too!

Oh my god Luv what a load of hog $hit you poor thing.
As fopr the IVF thing thats a load of hog $hit too.
My specialist said to me that I would never havre to worried about
ectopic cause they bypast the tube altogether with IVF.
Weird all very strange Luv and Im very sorry that this has happened again.
So what now???

em, i have to wait until this clot clears up. it will take about 4-6 weeks we hope. I get another bhcg tommorrow and monday and thursday next week to check that the levels continue dropping otherwise, i might have to have surgery to remove the clot- which i don't want because i don't trust them. they are just likely to remove the tube. anyway i just have to watch it the next couple of days and my husband is being a jerk!!!!

Okay ladies, I haven't been here for a long time but have been cheaking in, everyone has so much news just wanted to let you know you are in my thoughts.

Me, well I have an appointment with a new neuro-surgeon in May next year to talk about my condition, pregnancy and IVF, I can't take the pill as it affects my condition so I want to know how IVF will affect me, if it is a yes we will be starting that after.

Hubby is unsure at the moment because he is worried about my health and doesn't want to have 4 kids to look after if I end up in hospital with problems. Still soooo clucky and everyone around me is having babies so that is making it hard, I had a round of blood tests done and my oestegen (sp?) is on the low side but not too bad, don't know what that means.

So there is your update again you are all in my thoughts,

Oh Luv, My heart really goes out to you. Stick to your guns and don't let them take your tube. I know when i had my endometriosis (sp?) surgery i made the dr promise me that if they found anything that didn't look good to not proceed until the brought me out of my surgery and told me what they found first. He agreed and said he would have done that anyways. He is a great specialist and can't praise him enough. I agree with Em, that is total horse $hit about the egg going upt he tube with IVF, like it says IVF is implanting in the uterus NOT the tube, so how can it go back up to a place it never came ? Wish you all the best and hope that one day your dream of having beautiful baby will come true. Cheers kiya

hi ladies,
luv i'm so sorry, i have a condition that i actually get blood clots all the time, and i'm doing ivf. There is a chance of a ectopic pregnany in ivf, it's because the embryo is so small that it can move anywhere. I'ts a real slim chance though think positive.

Well with me, hubby got in the army he leaves in march so we are freezing his sperm, so i'm not hurrying .We have to use some of the ivf money to buy a second care so i'm waiting just a little bit longer but not much,it's only about 9 weeks wait the cool thing is on dates due it will be xmas day.
I hope all you ladies have a great xmas and new year. I'm thinking positive for 2008.

kiya, hey thanks so much for your support- i wish they would just promise to wake me up, but as a public hospital system- they really don't care at all. the thing with the ivf is as ray said that apparently it can float up there- but they are only drs and don't know everything.
maz, lol wouldn't that be great- a first fallopian tube transplant- don't worry i have wished that too! thanks for your support- maybe it's not right time or something worse is going to happen and thats why it doesn't work- i question it too. i am so excitied for you!!!!!!!
ray, yeh this clot was the products of conception- apparently my tube spits it out over the ovary and it continues to grow. thanks for your support
em, i have asked about ivf, but i doubt that i can afford it and dh doesn't want to go that route. but tell me anyway what the whole procedure was again?

i have a question for you you don't have to answer.
Is it always in the same tube?
my ivf is costing me $5500 and after medicare and rebate i'm out of pocket $1300
I'm doing mine different from em. i'm on the pill for 28 days get a bleed start 2 injections for 10 days have a ultrasound, if i have a lot of eggs then they retrieve and a couple of days later transfer the embryo back in.(it's called a flare cycle)
It's a lot shorter then a down regulation cycle which is what em did.
My hubby was the same, but he could see i was determined and he came around he is excited now.

Its pretty easy really. Just have to get a ref from a
specialist to go to westmead fertility Clinic.
They put you on the pill for one month and then the
liniel spray to down reg your cycle.
Ater that its the injections for 2 wks roughly then egg pick up.
They do the transfer two days after egg pick up.
So in total its 6 to 8wks if you respond well to the drugs.
Mine was one week longer cause my follies needed extra
drugs to get bigger. In total it cost me $1,450 thats it.
And i was meant to get $398 back from medicare but I got $848.
So i paid $602 for a baby and I think that pretty dame good.

ray, it's not actually in the tube. apparently the tube spits it out- thats what they reckon. but i think that because i have poly ovaries, that the sperm gets through and fertilizes on the ovary- which means the ovary doesn't actually ovulate as such. i was ages ago about the same price for the ivf too. i rang one up here today, but they said i have to wait until january 7 or 14 to get better costing. She also told me it takes 2-3 months for the process- ah thats a long time huh? the dr i am seeing at the hospital did say he would do another hsg- but to tell you the truth i just don't want to have another ectopic. good news though- my levels have dropped to 11 which means it's disappearing on its own.
em, thanks for that. that would be a much better price for me.... but i doubt it will be that cheap up here. I am still unsure whether i want to do it, cause theres no possible way for me to get the money. so i will have to wait and see.....

Well have it done here you can do that. They put it straight into your uterus so no more ectopic.
Hey Ray... I got back that much cause I had reached my family net thing.
I didnt think this mattered cause this was only the out of pocket that they charge you.
Oh well they wanted to give it to me so I took it. It must have been right tho.
Today was my birthday and Im pretty pi$$ed of really. Its my birthday and
Rob cousin said can you watch the baby for abit cause we have our xmas party.
Yep no worries I said. Well a call comes abit later saying there staying there the night.
So I have the 7mth old all night. So there goes any plans i had of going out for dinner
