My DS is almost 2.5. For the last almost three months he has been nappy free during the day, except for naps and night time. He has probably taken himself to do a wee on his own 5 times and pooed maybe 5 times as well. Daycare three days a week and he has accidents almost every day, sometimes 2 times a day, and they take them every 30 minutes.
I have had enough, I don't have anymore energy to take a child every 30-45 minutes every when I don't see any progress. My DD took 8 months and I wasted months doing the same thing, nappy free and no progress. I took a month off and put her back in nappies, them we tried again. My son will sit on the toilet and go almost every time I ask him, but he will still have accidents.
In short, I don't think he's ready. I want to put him back in nappies for a while because everyone else says that it should take weeks of nappy free for them to get it, not the months and months AND MONTHS it seems to take my kids. Daycare say that it will confuse him to put him back in nappies, but the kids, bless him, isn't toilet trained AT ALL. Catching wees and poos because I tell him to go to the toilet isn't toilet trained in my opinion.
