DD was in the room with us when she was newborn, couldnt stand the thought of having her away from me and I constantly was checking on her making sure she was breathing whenever she slept long periods. This time around the baby will be in our room while he's little too cause his room is right next to DD's room and we really dont want to be dealing with one waking the other all night long. Wouldnt be fair to DD she needs her sleep too.

Its funny, I use a bassinet that is right at teh hight of the bed so I have it right near my pillow when they are new new borns (DH is uneasy about having them that tiny in bed as he tends to sleep with lots of blankets) When I moved them from there to the cot I was moving them like half a metre further away from me, I was so un easy about it, no way I could move them from my room all together LOL
