Pregnancy after Late Loss, Recurrent Miscarriage or Stillbirth ~ November 2011

Welcome to Pregnancy After Recurrent Miscarriage/StillBirth/Late Loss.
This is an exciting time but also one that can be filled with anxiety and concern. The aim of this forum is to provide women who have suffered from recurrent miscarriage, still birth or a late pregnancy loss a place to meet and share experiences. Many women in this forum will be on medication which brings in itself many questions and areas where support is needed.

We wish you a happy healthy pregnancy and look forward to sharing and supporting each other through this time... The journey is often really challenging but the prize in the end is worth all of the hardship...

whoops, forgot to get back online lol

    HCG went up to 176

Copying and pasting as I'm exhausted and having trouble thinking and typing coherantly lol:

"Hi everyone just stopping in quickly now that I'm starting to get on top of the pain from my wisdom teeth now, so slightly more capable of doing things lol
Had bloods done yesterday morning, I find out the results around lunch time tomorrow.
The queasiness has kind of died off a bit, though that might be because I've been eating constantly lol I still have sore boobs, my I still have the "full" feeling in my belly, and I'm exhausted all the time, it was never like this with DD, so things have to be ok, sometimes I even forget that I'm pregnant. I hate all this fear, I wish I could just be innocent and enjoy a pregnancy.
I've developed an ulcer on the roof of my mouth now - tastes feral and feels weird, at least it doesn't hurt.
I'm craving chocolate too - and apparently I've lost 2kg since the start of october, so I can't complain about that lol

Anyway, I'll try my best to get back on tomorrow afternoon - can't guarantee it as it depends on how I'm feeling."

Hey guys, sorry for not getting back sooner - my health has been horrid since I was last on. I'm feeding Princess E her puree (and she is being very demanding too!) so I'll do a quick update now and come back later for persies. The BT was a waste of time, it was replacement doctor I saw as mine was sick and he only gave me the referral for the test that says positive/negative with levels over or under 25, I was so angry!

I ended up in emergency on thursday afternoon as my wisdom teeth were playing up again (the 2 bottom ones have cavities the size of peas in them for those who were wondering what was going on with them lol they were all impacted and are still all partially impacted and the hyperremesis gravidarum I had while pregnant with DS and Princess E didn't help either) and I was out of panadeine forte (the only thing that works to get rid of the pain unfortunately) and was also there because of bad cramps and tenderness along my csec scar, no bleeding though thank god, I'm not a religious person but I was thanking whatever god/goddess or other deity there is for that! They did a bHCG and it came back with the levels being at 5240! - exactly 7 days earlier they were 176 so that was a HUGE jump, they are even higher than the doctors chart from conception says they should be, I've been working myself and DH up with the thought that it could be twins lol not a good thing to do lol

I see the oral surgeon on the 16th for assessment about my surgery to have my wisdom teeth removed, not long now I am so relieved that I finally get to see the surgeon now after 5 months of waiting and having to give up breastfeeding, but peeved that it's taken a new pregnancy to get them to start moving their butts about it.
And then the scan is the next day - on the 17th - I should be 6wks 5d then, sooo can't wait but so scared there won't be a heartbeat or there'll be twins or more as well lol

Anyway, Princess E is demanding my attention - apparently I'm not spooning the food into her quick enough lol

    I'll be back later!

Jenna - That is awesome news hun good luck on the 17th hope there is a beautiful little HB or 2 :P. About time they did something they have no idea what its like to be in pain especially in the teeth since you cant eat :| hope everything goes well for you and you have no more pain lol. Lol better spoon it in faster than mum hehe.

AFM - Went to the beach yesterday with DF and the kids was fun we had a great time we were there for about 2 hours and I did get burnt lol. DF is packing everything up for me since he leaves soon and I wont be able to do anything . Anyway were going to the pub for lunch just the 2 of us since we wont see each other for about 6 weeks or even after bub is born .

Tylers Mummmy - Oh the beach sounds nice. Sorry you got burnt. Hope it's not too uncomfortable. I hope bubs is just teasing with this head down business and staying low.... stay snug just a little longer bubba! I don't remember why Tyler was born at 23+3.... if it's not too painful, can you tell me? Where is DH off to that sees him gone for so long?

Jenna - hope the teeth are not to painful today and that you don't get hyperemesis gravidium with this preg. I didn't realise you had it for DD or DS. It must be almost unbearable.

I have been trying desperately to nap, but nothing this morning, and soon the wee one will wake. She woke at 4.30am this morning and was out of sorts. Apart from that, not much else. Is Laney still in this thread? if so I am thinking of you blossom, and give those two boys of yours a big hug from us.

Dory - Nah its fine its not too bad just a little bit red lol. I hope so too but I haven't been getting any sign that she wants out yet so hopefully thats a good sign. Ah I dont think I said why he was born early but there were no reasons.. He just wanted to come out..DF is off to work on the grain he'll be earning a little bit of money so will be able to get ourselves sorted out but he will be over 8 hours away from where we are at the moment, but I am moving down with him probably after bub is born.

Tyler's Mummy - same with me about babies being early. No reason. Dr's suspect that it might be incompetent cervix for me, but it was never clear and I never had my babies sent for PM. I was going to for Amelia, and spoke about it with the Obs but once she were here, the Obs didn't pursue it and that was fine with me. It was never even discussed with Nicholas or Sophie. Different Obs on calls for their births. Maybe as I was able to get HB here safely with a cervical suture in, means it's more likely. But who knows? Could just be coincidence.

I hate being sunburnt. Honestly, I just hate it. Hope you are coping ok. Good on DF for trying to sort things out with $ and get ahead. Who's going to be your birth partner then? I can't imagine doing it without my DH. I am too old to have my Mum in there, and I wonder if she'd come anyway. If DH wasn't around I would have to have either a doula if I could afford it, or a friend. I have two in mind, if I ever need it. Guess your ph bill is about to get bigger? I hope you go ok with DF away. I hope he can come and visit. Does he have to drive or can he fly back to see you, if he needed to come quickly? Ahh so many questions, sorry.

Dory - So will you be getting the cervical suture again this time? I never wanted Tyler to have a PM for some reason I didn't want to know why.. But there was no reason why anyway maybe he just wanted to meet his mummy and daddy quicker. Yeah i'm coping fine just very hot lol, yeah it is at least now I know we will be able to afford the things we want too. Well I was having my mum and DF in the room with me but that might change, most likely DF will come up for Rylee's birth or else I'll ask to be put through the big hospital down were we are moving and mum will come down and stay with us for a week or so. She probably would if you asked her . Nah we both have cell phones so will get credit and be able to talk to each other every night, I hope so too I know it'll be hard for the first few weeks but hopefully it wont take to long and I'll be down there with him. No he wont be able to visit with his work being 7 days a week he'll most likely be working his little butt off. He would have to bus then train it back up to see me but we are hoping that instead of 6 weeks it will only take 2-4 weeks to get a house and a car so I can go down to him and get ready for bub. Dont worry lol I would probably be asking the same.. I am scared that Rylee will come early though but hopefully she doesn't..

TylersMummy - Rylee is a beautiful name. Well done. As you know they each have their own times, I thought HB would come early given my history but she was going nowhere and I made it to 40 weeks exactly ( then I got sick ), but she just stayed snug. And she was born with a really really thick layer of vernix. Really thick. I wonder if that meant she was going nowhere for a little while if she had her way? Amazing. Yep - I expect the suture to go in at/after week 14, which is late Dec/early Jan. It will be under general, but I recovered really well last time., and I generally recover well from anaesthetic. I wish the removal was under a ga. It's mighty uncomfortable. But worth it. Are you hoping for a vaginal delivery? Was Tyler a vaginal delivery? See more questions...... Do you have a photo of Tyler? There's a thread on here called In memoriam or something like that where it's ok to post pics. I haven't posted any yet, I tried to a while ago and it didn't work. Anyway, if you're willing to share, I'd love to see a pic of your wee one.

Anyway, I am off to sleep. I am so tired during the day but at night it all goes away. Crazy times. Oh only 3 sleeps to go til my early scan. YAY. Stay snug Rylee, your mum and dad love you, but they can wait to meet you, say for at least another 7 weeks.

Dory - Thank you . Aw I bet you she wanted to stay longer.Ah ok thats not to far away, thats good what did they give you when the took it out?Yes probably will be a vaginal birth, yes Tyler was one luckily . Yeah I have a few photos I will find it and post it on there so you can have a look . Hope you had a great sleep I have been having really bad nights the past few nights waking up at 2am and not being able to go back to sleep till around 3 and also tossing and turning lol. Apparently last night I was that bad that I kicked DF out of bed and took up the whole bed and he has photo evidence (HMM!) lol. Good luck with your scan . Are you hoping for any gender in particular?

TylersMummy - hilarious about DF getting kicked out of bed ( it only gets worse once bubs is here) ...... photographic evidence? Has he nothing better to do than take pics of a heavily pregnant woman sleeping? I am sure there is some housework he could do at 2am. Pffft. Nothing given for the removal of the stitch.... it's just uncomfortable, but not really painful. No gender hope here. Both DH and I reckon we are short odds for a girl, given we have a few pink bundles under our belt but then again maybe it's time for a boy? Honestly I don't care. Interestingly though we have started to discuss girls names. Isn't there some theory about slow but endurance sperm being girl making sperm and fast and furious sperm being boy making sperm? One more sleep til my scan...... I had a nice day today visiting some family, and it took my mind off my tiredness and sickness and anxiety about tomorrow. I am pretty sure I am pregnant, and not having a m/c but it will be good to see the little raspberry on the screen...... and get a little picture to take away. Good to talk to the Obs too. This will be my 5th pregnancy with the same Obs. Wow. The first time I met him he told me that the baby wasn't going to make it and I was having a m/c and would start bleeding. He was right. I didn't much like him that first time, but glad I stuck with him, he's certainly made me feel very dignified and respected. Its amazing how vulnerable and fragile I was and how I am much less so now. I'll bet you remember that....it seems like at the time that feeling will never pass, but it does.
