    hi there

ms is the worst isnt it? especially when its 24/7. i have had it 24/7 with vomiting in all three pregnancies from about 6 weeks to 17-19weeks.

this time im finding the following helps for me:

veg toast (white bread only) first thing in the am. try to have this first thing before you do anything else otherwise i find i get sick.

green apples - very crunchy, crisp

cold, clear apple juice - i find this is good for taking tablets and when my blood sugar gets low.

i know its hard to force yourself to eat but dont let your tummy get empty as this makes it really bad.

sleep, whenever possible. i feel like i live in bed at the moment. when i am in bed i cram a small pillow into my stomach where i feel sick - the pressure seems to make me feel better.

im only eating what my body tells me to and not even thinking about all the other foods out there.

best wishes, i know how hard it is.

Today was better --- two glasses of milk, glass of milo, one banana, and a yogurt. Want to know how I did it ? I stayed in bed all day. Yup it is almost 6 pm and besides putting out laundry on the line and getting the food downstairs I've been lying in bed on my computer (internet). No can't do this everyday. I'd drink something lie down. Sad.

For those times I can eat (usually a small kids size meal in the evening) ....

cream cheese on toast, canned ravioli (for iron in meat), canned chili, mac & cheese kraft smells less, oatmeal, I did buy powdered baby "cereal" to mix with milk-- fine, rice pudding, yogurt, tea, peppermint tea, V-8 juice, suck on lemons or smell lemon essential oils, cranberry juice with extra squeeze of lemon to make it more sour, coke cola, fetachini alfredo (spelling sorry), pickles yes anything with vinegar like those pickled vegetables, gatorade (not too bad if you have to puke it up but I'm getting tired of all the flavours), frozen shepherds pie.

I'm just wondering if having a high sugar content food first thing in the morning spikes my blood sugar causing nausea. For this the milk was better than say the gatorade or apple juice. I wonder too if having milk during the night helps to maintain my levels for the morning.

I'm expecting twins so having m/s is more common but not anymore enjoyable. It makes two babies I worry are not getting enough nutrients. I hate that the "food" I can eat is crap like processed and canned -- I NEVER eat that stuff any other time and dont' want it for them but I know I have to eat something.
I find everyday I try something different and everyday I turned off something else.

What didn't work for me : the sea bands, preggo drops, gingerale, crackers, morning sickness tablets (ginger) the pharmacist said that when you take the ginger tablets you need to take them every 6 hours to keep a continuous amount in your system. Worked one day for me then like Jodie couldn't stand the taste !!!

Jodie tell me how it turns out. \
