I just found out I am pregnant a few days ago and went for a scan to discover I am already just over 8 weeks.I had no idea because I had what I thought what a period 3.5 weeks ago.It was just a heavy as a normal period. The baby looked great and had a strong heartbeat but the doctor said it had a submembraneouse bleed.I have no idea what this means and he didn't really give me anything, just said to take it easy. Can't find much on google.Anyone experiences this? would this have been the reason behind my earlier bleeding? And will baby be ok?

    A little bit of hope.

It's something else. That's for sure.

I've actually been sitting here, for I dunno about 3 hours reading posts on this forum all the way back to 2006. Honestly, looking for some sort of hope, luck... really anything at this point.

I was 7 days late for my period *yay*. (This being sunday) Then I finally took that extra step to take a pregnancy test. I can say I actually "felt" pregnant, so the bfp wasn't a shock. Still took another test. So with 2 positives, and a great pregnant feeling I booked an app with my doc for the following Friday. (seemed like forever away) Now two days later (tuesday night) I went pee, noticing bright red blood, and a little clot. I essentially ignored it thinking it's nothing it will go away. The bleeding continued. It's not HEAVY, but it's constant, always there sort of thing. It's always bright red, fresh blood.

So this being my first pregnancy I'm obviously scared, and after bleeding throughout the night I went to a clinic to have examination done. The doctor told me that anything is possible, miscarriage is 50/50 and nothing is said and stone and the only thing that can be done is tests. So it's essentianlly a waiting game. (damn I hate those).

Basically.. the doctor said because my cervix isn't open that is a good sign. Took one blood test that will determine my HGC levels, and have to go back in 48 hrs for another to see if it's gone up. I don't really "feel" pregnant anymore to be honest. Constantly freaking out and scared. I really hope I still have this baby. It's all I truly want.

It's Wednesday night, still bleeding, wearing a pad, not soaking the pad again it's not heavy but constant. Now after I went for the examination I did pass a clot, probably the size of a Dollar, or large coin.. depending where you are from! Haha. I don't have any painful cramps just a slight "pushing" feeling on my abdomen. Oh man am I scared.

    Candice,

I had bleeding in three of my pregnacies two of which where right after I had a positive pregnancy test so I was around 4 weeks and my daughter is now 11 months and I am currently almost 18 weeks pregnant and all is ok. The bleeding was light but red and lasted 4 days. The other pregnancy I had bleeding at just after 11 weeks and I was passing at first small clots with no pain then by the forth day I had slight pain and the clots becam bigger and unfortunately my baby had passed away.
You see bleeding in pregnancy is scary as we all know it can go either way but no matter what happens it is still your little baby inside you so enjoy every moment no matter how long you may have. Remember your cervix is still closed and that is a really good sign!
I have everything crossed for you take care and rest up.
Stick little bubba for your mummy.

    Thank you so much Cherie!

Having someone respond to that just made my night, so many thoughts. No one really to talk to about this situation.

It's very inspiring to hear so many stories about woman who have/are going through the same thing. Honestly seeing blood when being pregnant, the only thing that came to my mind was miscarriage, I am so scared!

For now I essentially just have to wait it out, hopefully everything ends up for the better. I am a true believer in things being "meant to be." I just sucks when you really really want something and you can't help but think it's going completely wrong.

Thank you so much for your response
