congratulations Ros - what wonderful news!! what a verile hubby you must have, and what a very eager baby oven your uterus is!! he he he!! i'm from a family of 5 kids and it is great to be one of many siblings - your boys will love having so many bro's (and maybe sis's?!) to play with!!

Relle - hope Cooper's testing went well and laid to bed any concerns... and i hope your client has gone into labour and you've enjoyed your first Doula gig!! please fill us in as to how it all went!!

Gigi - glad everything is going well with Mimi, and you're recovering well. i'm impressed that you're finding the time and energy to log onto BellyBelly with the new challenges of being a mum to 2 now!

Well, nothing too interesting to report. i went to see Dennis last thursday after one of my feet suddenly swelled up like a balloon!! he just wanted to check that it wasn't a clot (because it was only one side), but it didn't look too sinister so i was sent on my way.. since then the swelling has now made it's way to both legs, and although they look hideous, it's somewhat more reassuring to be looking symmetrical!! i'm feeling a bit depressed and "fat" (i've already put on 8kgs and i'm only 22 weeks!!), but i'm hoping that a lot of it is fluid, so it will disappear soon after the birth...

ooh, i have booked into Diane Gardners "Calmbirth" course in July. i'm SO excited about it!! my DH agreed to come along too which i'm really happy about. i want to try for an active and natural birth, and i know that there's no way i can do it without him sharing my wishes... at the moment he still thinks i should be knocked out for labour, but hopefully after the course he'll be thinking differently!!

on that note - does Dennis allow you to give birth in the upright position, or will i have to jump up on the bed and lie on my back? i keep forgetting to ask him at my visits!!
