in at DH's work so thought I would drop you all a quick line to let you know that all is well!
Mimi is totally divine, the cone head has gone and she is feeding and sleeping really well (touch wood that will continue!).
Am EXTREMELY sore still "down there" - those darn Keilland (sp?) forceps are killers and Dennis thinks that things will be painful for a while, unfortunately. Lots of stitches etc (sorry if TMI).
We ended up being induced, 10 days over and when he broke the waters there was not even the remotest sign of anything happening re ripening of cervix or anything! He was still confident though that I would labour naturally after the waters were broken but with my body, it is not to be. He broke waters at 7.30am Saturday 5th May. By noon the contractions started. By 6pm I was still only 1.5 cms. So they said there is no point labouring so slowly for 2 days to get to 10 - just silly to make myself that tired, so we had the epidural, put in the syntocinon drip and she was born 3 hours later! Anyway, I haven't got much time so will sign off. But will hopefully have a computer aat home again in about 2 weeks so will be back to chat then. In the meantime - hope you are all well. Take care and speak soon
