O.K finally some time (although who knows for how long)..
Murph: Yay on Jazzy's teeth, I think we are going through some bad teething issued here at the moment. Whingy, cranky baby chewing everything but nothing makes it better, going on and off her food etc. Thanks to baby panadol, I've managed to get her to have a sleep.
BOC: Yay for making it across here. Enjoy baby Jagger as her will grow so fast.
Janie: Where did time go. It is so hard to think that Jasmine is going to be 1.
Neptune: Are you and I living parallel lives??? Same here no AF now for 7 1/2 weeks, the last one took 7 weeks to come and I've been getting all the signs that she is on her way but so far nothing. I also did a POAS and nada, mainly as I had all the pain early in my cycle and it clearly showed follicles growing. I just wish she would come already as I'm thinking it's gonna be another doosy.
Big hello to everyone else, it's been crazy but thinking about you all.
AFU: Well apart from the teething issue and the waiting for AF to turn up I've been doing a lot of running around. My Mothers Group has gone from being organised by the MCHN to being on our own so I took the lead to plan the weekly roster with everyone and get all the logistic together. I also had to go into town and enrol Tara into her swimming lessons starting 12th, it is so popular here that she has been on a waiting list and as soon as a place became available I had to snap it up and go and pay ASAP or else they give the place to someone else. Plus I've been checking out the local playgroups as well but the only downside is that they all run from about 9.30am.
Now here is a story, the mum that I am closest with from MG has a little girl 1 month older than Tara. DH and I popped in on the weekend and she was telling me that her AF was late as she had been regular as clockwork since it returned after the birth of her DD. Well she bit the bullet and did a POAS and you bet ya she is pg with no 2. I am having mixed reactions to this news, I am happy for them as she is 35 and her DH is 42 and they wanted 2 kids close together but I am also so envious of how easy is was for her to get pg and just wish I could have the same happen to me, although not as soon as it has happened for her as her kids will only be 14 months apart. It makes me wonder if I will always have this type of feeling when I hear of someone getting pg.
Wow Kelly, same thing happened to one of the women in my mothers' group. Only they'd taken 5 years to get pregnant the first time, or something like that. It actually didn't hit me too hard because I really didn't want another baby at that time anyway.
Thanks for the update Murph - those bureaucrats sure are keeping you busy! They are real buggers about pre-existing - got my fingers crossed for you guys.
I've found the cluckiness has waxed and waned over time and set in for good when DS was 15 months.
I have to say I was very clucky as soon as Xavier was born but then reality sets in or and the hormones settle.
Xavier is getting his follow-up check on his hips today, hopefully they have matured and he wont need a harness and tomorrow we are all off to get our needles. I am going to ask if we can trial losec for his reflux as yesterday I couldnt put him down. He had to be completely upright to be comfortable.
I have a question to ask everyone. How do you sleep your baby?
I know the recomendation is on their back but what if they just wont sleep on their back. I have always sleep Xavier on his tummy during the day and on his back at night when I am asleep, but he wont sleep on his back anymore and I am up every 45 mins resettling him as he wakes after a sleep cycle. He will sleep for hours on his tummy. It has gotten worse as his reflux has gotten worse.
just a quicky from me today me darlings but please know ive been thinking of you all heaps and reading but just no time to post atm im soooo busy lol..
but im going to look at the house tomorrow and the real estate has said if we like it ..then its ours im so so happy as its 6km out of town and just beautiful no neighbours for at least 1km 4 bedrooms plus a study 2 bathrooms 2 big shed for dh and a ensuite for us woohoo hey so tomorrow at 2.30 ill be checking it out wish me luck
Saph, Sam's a tummy sleeper now - and if we don't put him down on his tummy, then he puts himself that way very quickly. It wasn't such an issue when he was younger - he would happily sleep on his back then. Have you tried Xavier on his side? Apart from that, would you feel more comfortable about tummy sleeping if you had a breathing monitor?
BW - we have the breathing monitor, and he sleeps right next to me. The nurse today told me to try sleeping him on his side. Tried that but he screamed until I put him on his tummy. She also said I should try him on infant gaviscon, which he haver in the cupboard for Campbell, but it should only be used under medical supervision under 12 months, so will discuss with doc tomorrow. We had another day of not being able to put him down today his is finally asleep lets hope I get a bit more sleep tonight.
